摘要: Emulsifiers for emulsions vaccine formulations and use in water-in-oil emulsion for vaccine formulations as an emulsifier. The emulsifier is an alkoxylated polyol or polyamine which is optionally acyl terminated. There is also provided a method of forming the vaccine formulation. The emulsifiers provide for emulsions which may require less emulsifier than known emulsifiers, and provide stable emulsions.

摘要: The present invention provides an aqueous binder system for a coating composition, the aqueous binder system comprising A) at least 10 wt % water, based on the total weight of the aqueous binder system; B) at least one hydroxyl-functional binder polymer; and C) from 0.1 to 20 wt %, based on the total weight of the aqueous binder system, of at least one quaternary ammonium compound, wherein the quaternary ammonium compound comprises a core quaternary ammonium group which has pendant groups which comprise i) a hydrocarbyl group having 8 to 16 carbon atoms which is a linear or branched, alkyl or alkenyl group; ii) two independent hydroxyl terminated groups, wherein each hydroxyl terminated group comprises from 1 to 10 alkylene oxide residues and wherein the total number of alkylene oxide residues in the quaternary ammonium compound is from 5 to 12; and iii) a CI to C8 hydrocarbyl group; wherein B) and C) are not covalently bonded to each other within the aqueous binder system. A coating composition, a coating, methods and uses are also provided.

摘要: Surfactants based on a newly discovered class of compounds include a hydrophobic lipid oligomer covalently linked to a peptide or peptide-like chain and a carbohydrate moiety, and a serine-leucinol dipeptide linked to the lipid oligomer. Such surfactants can be used to create an oil-in-water or water-in-oil emulsion by mixing together a polar component; a non-polar component; and the surfactant. Biosurfactants of the newly discovered class can be made by isolating and culturing a microorganism which produces the biosurfactant, and then isolating the biosurfactant from the culture. A microorganism can be engineered to produce biosurfactant of this newly discovered class by expressing a set of heterologous genes involved in the biosynthesis of the biosurfactant in the microorganism.

摘要: An agrochemical micronutrient concentrate and or formulations with dispersants for said concentrates/formulations, in particular a dispersant for use in suspending solid micronutrients in suspension concentrate type formulations comprising one or more micronutrients. The dispersant is preferably a water dispersible styrene (meth)acrylic copolymer. 摘要: The present invention relates to a self-healing polyurethane, a polyol for use in the polyurethane, and to the use of the polyol and/or polyurethane in coatings, elastomers, composites, adhesives and/or sealants. The polyurethane is capable of exhibiting self-healing (for example, intrinsic self-healing) which results in recovery of a proportion of one or more physical parameters. The polyurethane which is capable of self-healing is the reaction product of reactants comprising a polyol, a polyisocyanate; and optionally, a chain extender. The polyol comprises at least one dimer fatty residue; at least one urethane, amide or carbonate group; and at least two hydroxyl end groups.

The demulsifier may be for use in demulsifying an emulsion, for example crude oil.
