Abstract: An electrical connector system is presented herein. The electrical connector system includes a first connector body containing a first plurality of terminals and a second connector body containing a second plurality of terminals that are configured to interconnect with the first plurality of terminals. The second connector body is configured to receive the first connector body. The electrical connector system further includes a locking feature configured to secure the first connector body to the second connector body in a pre-staged position in which the first plurality of terminals is not connected to the second plurality of terminals and further configured to secure the first connector body to the second connector body in a staged position in which the first plurality of terminals is connected to the second plurality of terminals after disengaging the locking feature in the pre-staged condition.

Abstract: A locking retainer system configured to secure an automotive component within a motor vehicle includes a panel defining a T-shaped aperture and a retainer. The T-shaped aperture has a vertical aperture portion and a longitudinal aperture portion. The vertical aperture portion is defined by a first planar portion of the panel and the longitudinal aperture portion is defined by a second planar portion of the panel. The first planar portion is laterally offset from the second planar portion. The retainer has a vertical retainer portion and a longitudinal retainer portion and is attached to the automotive component by an elongated strut intermediate the vertical retainer portion and the automotive component. The panel is configured to receive the retainer within the aperture, thereby securing the automotive component to the panel and limiting motion of the automotive component relative to the panel along vertical, longitudinal, and lateral axes.

Abstract: An object-detection system includes a radar sensor, a camera, and a controller. The radar-sensor is suitable for mounting on a vehicle and is used to detect a radar-signal reflected by an object in a radar-field-of-view. The radar-signal is indicative of a range, range-rate, and a direction to the object relative to the vehicle. The camera is used to capture an image of a camera-field-of-view that overlaps the radar-field-of-view. The controller is in communication with the radar-sensor and the camera. The controller is configured to determine a range-map for the image based on the range and the direction of the radar detection, define a detection-zone in the image based on the range-map, and process only the detection-zone of the image to determine an identity of the object.

Abstract: A connector includes a first housing, a second housing, a mate assist slider, and a cam gear. The first-housing has a first outer surface. The second housing is configured to mate with the first housing, and the second housing includes a pin extending from a second outer surface. The connector also includes a mate assist slider moveable from an unmated position to a mated position. The connector also includes a cam gear mounted to the first outer surface. The cam gear moves in response to a movement of the mate-assist-slider from the unmated position to the mated position. The cam gear has a cam slot with an inertial detent. A vibratory feedback is provided to an assembler indicative of a properly positioned connector housing when the pin is moved past the inertial detent.

Abstract: A pulsation damper is disposed within a fluid volume defined by a fluid volume wall such that the pulsation damper is exposed to pressure pulsations within the fluid volume. The pulsation damper includes a pulsation damper first half having a first damper wall which is flexible in response to the pressure pulsations; a pulsation damper second half having a second damper wall which is flexible in response to the pressure pulsations; and a damping volume defined between the pulsation damper first half and the pulsation damper second half such that the damping volume is fluidly segregated from the fluid volume. One of the pulsation damper first half and the pulsation damper second half defines a spacing member which maintains separation between the fluid volume wall and one of the first damper wall and the second damper wall.
