    摘要: Disclosed is a pulsation dampening system for high-pressure (e.g., 10K psi and higher) fluid lines. At high fluid flow pressures, the dampening system is a dual stage dampening system, responsive to low (e.g., when first charging the fluid line) and to very high-pressure pulsations. An external containment shell handles the full fluid flow pressures. One or more internal shells contain and handle the internal gas dampening system. The in-flow relationship of the gas dampening component assures that pressure differences between the internal gas handling system and the high-pressure fluid flow is always relatively small. This enables the gas handling components to be constructed of less robust material than the external shell (even though the gas system's internal pressure can equal that of the fluid flow), and be less susceptible to pressure failure.

The system includes a pressure dampener in fluid communication between the fluid supply source and the subsea component. The pressure dampener includes a body consisting of a dampener fluid flow path which consists of a volume and a biasing system. The biasing system includes a piston biased to an initial position, wherein the piston is configured to move from the initial position to expand the volume of the dampener fluid flow path and dampen a pressure surge received by the pressure dampener and wherein the biasing system is configured to contract the volume of the dampener fluid flow path by returning the piston toward the initial position after dampening the pressure surge.

    摘要: Disclosed is an absorber system for absorbing pressure shocks and fluid volume shocks in a fluid system. In particular, the absorber system includes a housing with a joint for insertion within a fluid system, wherein the housing interior is in fluid communication with fluid in the fluid system. As such, when a pressure and/or fluid volume shock is developed within the fluid system, fluid is forced into the housing via the joint. A membrane is disposed within the housing in such a way that the fluid impacts the membrane which, in response, flexes to absorb and control the pressure and/or fluid volume shock within the fluid system. The absorber system, thus, controls pressure and/or fluid volume shock within a system and can prevent water hammer and other problems which can result from the development of pressure and/or fluid volume shock.
