Abstract: Systems and methods for adapting traditional landline telephones to make and receive Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls and other communications are described. In some embodiments, an adapter, adaptor, or other device or apparatus connects an IP router, such as a WiFi router or other access point, to a traditional landline telephone (e.g., a phone using dual-tone multi-frequency, or DTMF, signaling), enabling the traditional landline phone to make and/or receive VoIP calls.

Abstract: Systems and methods for home hub for IMS/Web services interaction are described. In one aspect, a data communication gateway operating as a home hub includes a processor that executes computer program instructions to provide IMS/Web services interaction to one or more client computing devices. The client computing device(s) are operatively coupled to the home hub. The client computing device(s) are not Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-enabled devices. To provide SIP- or IMS-based services to such client computing devices, the home hub registers on behalf of the client computing device(s) to a SIP network. The home hub replies to SIP messages on behalf of the SIP network registered device(s) to process all SIP request(s) and provide the registered device(s) with corresponding SIP-based service(s).

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for providing data restoration for a call server control function (S-CSCF) in a telecommunications network that includes a P-Visited-Network-ID (PVNI). In some embodiments, in the course of a user device registering to a telecommunications network, a home subscriber server (HSS) of the network stores a PVNI for the user device. If a S-CSCF that corresponds to the user device later fails, the network is able to restore the S-CSCF using the information in the HSS, which includes the PVNI.

Abstract: A system for managing access point functionally and configuration includes a server that is coupled to a computer network and configured to communicate with an access point via the computer network. The access point is configured to couple a mobile device to the computer network by providing a wireless link between the mobile device and the access point. The access point is further configured to produce a status point regarding the access point and the server is configured to receive the status report from the access point following a trigger event at the access point. In other examples, the server is further configured to transmit a response message and/or a configuration file to the access point in response to the status report that is received at the server. Other features and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for network diagnostics are provided. Various embodiments allow for a diagnostic application to be automatically pushed to one or more mobile devices on a network. A diagnostic platform can select one or more mobile devices to perform a set of tests (e.g., Wi-Fi connections, cellular connections, download speeds, initiate phone calls, etc.) to evaluate the network performance. The diagnostic application can then be accessed (or installed) by the diagnostic platform. Messages that include the captured data about the network performance can be sent from each of the mobile devices to the diagnostic platform. Various analytics can then be generated about the network and performance of specific device configurations.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for handling E911 communications within IMS networks, such as Voice over LTE (VoLTE) networks. In some embodiments, the systems and methods, via various communication nodes, handle or otherwise govern emergency calls within the VoLTE network, by sending an INVITE message from a sender node of the VoLTE network to a recipient node of the VoLTE network, and starting a retry timer at the sender node that is specific to handling E911 calls by the VoLTE network.
