    Abstract: Screen time-outs on a portable electronic device can be customized based on user activity. In one aspect, a sensing component receives data from one or more sensors located on the portable electronic device, for example, skin conductivity sensors and determines whether the user is using the portable device, either actively or passively and also determines the identity of the user. A configuring component is employed to change one or more features or functions of the portable electronic device based on the information determined by the sensing component. In particular, the configuring component changes one of more features of the portable electronic device based on the preferences predefined by the identified user and device usage (active and passive usage).

    Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system that includes an ocular tracking device, an image projection device, an inertial detection system, a processing system including a processor, and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, where the operations include receiving measurements indicating movement of a user, wherein the measurements are created by the inertial detection system, identifying a gaze direction of the user from data provided by the ocular tracking device, creating a visual presentation to present to the user, wherein the visual presentation is adapted to reduce proprioceptive, ocular and/or vestibular effects of the movement perceived by the user, and sending the visual presentation to the image projection device, wherein the image projection device presents the visual presentation to the user in an environment of the user, based on the gaze direction of the user. Other embodiments are disclosed.

    Abstract: A system may include a transaction history controller to store, in a distributed blockchain database, a first chain including a primary head node for a first subscriber to a social media history map service and multiple blocks each representing an online transaction for the first subscriber, and a second chain including a follower head node, linked to the primary head node, for a second subscriber and multiple blocks each representing an online transaction for the second subscriber. The transaction history controller may receive data representing a first online transaction for the second subscriber, format the data for the distributed blockchain database, store the formatted data as a new block in the second chain, receive a request to generate a trend report for a cluster of subscribers that includes the first and second subscribers, and generate the trend report dependent on the blocks in the first and second chains.
