摘要: A power assisted steering system includes a steering assembly and a power assist assembly. The power assist assembly includes a motor having an output shaft that is connected to the steering assembly. A target disc is connected to the output shaft for rotation therewith. A control unit has a printed circuit board including at least one sensor supported thereon. The sensor is responsive to rotation of the target disc for generating a signal. The controller is responsive to the sensor signal for controlling the operation of the motor.

摘要: A method and system are provided for controlling an electric assist motor in a vehicle steering system during an enablement of an overuse algorithm. Electric power is provided to the electric assist motor of the vehicle steering system via a switching circuit. Temperature of one of at least electric assist motor and power driving circuitry that provides power to the electric assist motor is sensed. A determination is made whether the sensed temperature of the one of at least electric assist motor and power driving circuitry is increasing over a predetermined period of time. The electric power provided to electric assist motor is reduced in response to a lack of increase in said sensed temperature.

摘要: An apparatus for lifting and moving a load. The apparatus comprises a lift frame having a first and second vertical member that are connected so that a working window area is defined. The apparatus further comprises a rotary actuator mounted on the first vertical member, and an arm having a first end and a second end, and wherein the first end of the arm is pivotly connected to the rotary actuator. The arm is pivotal from an area exterior of the working window area to an area within the working window area. The apparatus may further comprise a winch, operatively attached to the arm, for lifting a load with the cable. A method of lifting a load is also disclosed.

摘要: In a gas dryer for use in a gas transmission line in which a bed of desiccant tablets is suspended in the flow of gas, making an aqueous solution of the desiccant salts from the moisture taken from the gas, the solution is inhibited from generating solids and precipitates in a sump area by conducting the heat of hydration from the bed area to the sump area.

摘要: A plurality of pulsed chemical lasers such as HF or DF lasers are disposed symmetrically about a central axis. Each laser is energized sequentially so that the resulting output laser pulses have substantially consecutive time duration. Hence, the duration of the laser pulses equals the duration of each laser times the number of lasers. Reflectors are provided for combining the output pulses of each laser to generate a segmented output beam.

摘要: An aircraft parachute system includes an aircraft that has a fuselage, a pair of wings, a tail section and a plurality of engines. A plurality of parachute units is provided and each of the parachute units is coupled to the aircraft. Each of the parachute units is selectively deployed when the aircraft experiences an in-flight emergency such that the plurality of parachute units inhibits the aircraft from crashing. A plurality of balloon units is provided and each of the balloon units is coupled to the aircraft. Each of the balloon units is selectively deployed when the aircraft experiences the in-flight emergency. In this way each of the balloon units floats the aircraft in water when the aircraft lands in water.
