摘要: A blade is pressed against a developing roller for regulating the amount of toner which is deposited on a surface of the developing roller. The blade is formed with a slant face at its tip end, to which the toner is transported along a direction of rotation of the developing roller. An angle of aperture .theta. at a toner inlet portion defined by the developing roller and the slant face is set at 12.5.degree. or more, the angle of aperture counting in an angle .psi. of the slant face, elastic deformation and radius (R) of the developing roller, and an angle .alpha. related to a nip width w on which the blade contacts with the developing roller. Such an angle of aperture .theta. provides a great allowance for a free length l of the blade, thereby permitting the blade to maintain a constant toner mass for forming a uniform toner layer.

摘要: A floating type composite magnetic head includes a head core fixed to a slider formed of nonmagnetic material. In the head core, a pair of magnetic core halves are abutted against each other with nonmagnetic material such as SiO.sub.2 or the like interposed therebetween. The first and second magnetic core half members have first and second gap forming surfaces to be abutted against each other to define a magnetic gap (g), respectively. A first groove is formed on the second gap forming surface. A glass layer is formed in the first groove. A first thin film including a ferromagnetic metal thin film is selectively formed on the first gap forming surface. A second thin film including a ferromagnetic metal thin film is selectively formed on the second gap forming surface so that at least a portion except the surface of the glass layer in the second gap forming surface is exposed. A second groove is formed on the exposed second gap forming surface adjacent to the first groove. The first and second magnetic core half members are abutted and bonded with glass so that the first and second gap forming surfaces face each other so that the first and second thin films are abutted with SiO.sub.2 or the like interposed therebetween to define a magnetic gap (g). Causes of occurrence and an increase of false gaps are suppressed and a decrease in manufacturing yield due to separation of thin films or the like can be prevented.

摘要: A tape loading apparatus comprising a cassette including a videotape received in the cassette, with a longitudinal axis of the received tape forming a tape datum plane in the cassette. A helical scanning type magnetic head drum is provided having a cylindrical head drum surface and a lead edge, with the tape being set on the cylindrical head drum surface for scanning. The lead edge maintains the lead angle between the tape and the magnetic head drum and limits the vertical movement of tape on the cylindrical head drum surface. A tape-drum contacting axis is a contacting line at which the longitudinal axis of the tape set along the lead edge contacts with the cylindrical head drum surface after the tape setting operation on the cylindrical head drum surface is completed with both of the longitudinal ends of the tape-drum contacting axis being arranged substantially on a plane parallel to the tape datum plane. A tape setting device draws out the tape from the cassette, guides the tape along the lead edge and sets the tape on the cylindrical head drum surface for scanning the tape, so that damage to the tape is prevented.
