Abstract: Graphite and a preparation method thereof, a secondary battery containing the modified graphite, a battery module, a battery pack, and an electrical device are provided. In particular, the modified graphite according to this disclosure includes a graphite moiety and a binder moiety covalently linked to the graphite moiety. The binder moiety possesses a structure expressed as Formula (IV´). The modified graphite according to this disclosure solves the problem that the binder floats up during the preparation of the negative electrode plate of the secondary battery.

Abstract: A battery cell may include a housing, a first body structure, and a second body structure. The first body structure may be disposed in the housing. The first body structure may include a first positive electrode plate and a first negative electrode plate. A second body structure may be disposed in the housing. The second body structure may include a second positive electrode plate and a second negative electrode plate. The first body structure and the second body structure may be spaced out along a first direction. An end of the first positive electrode plate, which is oriented away from the second body structure along the first direction, may protrude beyond the first body structure and contacts a first inner surface of the housing, and the first negative electrode plate may be insulated from the first inner surface of the housing.

Abstract: Disclosed are a secondary battery, a battery module and an electric vehicle. The secondary battery includes an electrode assembly, a housing and a top cover assembly. The housing has an accommodating chamber, the accommodating chamber having an opening, and the electrode assembly being accommodated in the accommodating chamber. The electrode assembly includes a plurality of electrode units, the plurality of electrode units being stacked in an axial direction of the accommodating chamber. The top cover assembly includes a top cover plate, a first electrode terminal and a second electrode terminal, the top cover plate being connected to the housing and located on a side of the electrode assembly in the axial direction, and the first electrode terminal and the second electrode terminal both protruding from the top cover plate and being electrically connected to the electrode assembly.

Abstract: A battery, an electrical device, and a method and device for manufacturing a battery are provides. In some embodiments, the battery includes: a plurality of battery cells arranged along a first direction. Each battery cell includes an end cap and a housing, an opening is made at an end of the housing along the first direction, the end cap is configured to close the opening, and the housing includes a first wall extending along the first direction. A pressure relief region is provided on the first wall. The pressure relief region is configured to release pressure along a second direction when an internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell reaches a threshold. The second direction intersects the first direction. In this way, various embodiments improve safety of the battery.

Abstract: The present application relates to a positive electrode plate, an electrochemical device and a safety coating.
