Abstract: Provided are a battery cell, a battery, a power consumption apparatus, a method and an apparatus for preparing a battery. A battery cell includes a housing, including a first wall and a second wall oppositely provided in a first direction; two electrode terminals, respectively located on the first wall and the second wall, where projections of the two electrode terminals on a plane perpendicular to the first direction are staggered from each other. Through the technical solution, when the electrode terminal is electrically connected with other electrical components, other electrical components may be provided side by side with the electrode terminal by using space perpendicular to the first direction, and other electrical components do not need to occupy additional space in the first direction, thereby saving space required to achieve an electrical connection of the battery cell, and increasing a space utilization rate of the battery cell in the battery.

The battery includes: a box; and at least one first battery cell and at least one second battery cell that are accommodated in the box, the first battery cell and the second battery cell being polyhedral structures of different shapes. The first battery cell and the second battery cell each include two interconnected walls, one of which is perpendicular to a first direction and the other one of which is inclined with respect to the first direction, where the first direction is perpendicular to an upper cover or a bottom wall of the box, and the inclined wall is configured to be attached to a wall of an adjacent battery cell so that interaction forces in the first direction are generated between the inclined wall and the adjacent wall.

An electrode assembly includes an anode electrode plate and a cathode electrode plate. At least one side of the anode current collector is coated with an anode active substance layer. At least one side of the cathode current collector is coated with a cathode active substance layer and an additional layer. A battery includes the battery cells. An electric device includes the battery cells or the foregoing battery. The electrode assembly, battery cell, battery, and electric device can mitigate or reduce electrode plate cracking.

Abstract: A battery, an electrical device, and a method and device for manufacturing a battery are provides. In some embodiments, the battery includes: a plurality of battery cells arranged along a first direction. Each battery cell includes an end cap and a housing, an opening is made at an end of the housing along the first direction, the end cap is configured to close the opening, and the housing includes a first wall extending along the first direction. A pressure relief region is provided on the first wall. The pressure relief region is configured to release pressure along a second direction when an internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell reaches a threshold. The second direction intersects the first direction. In this way, various embodiments improve safety of the battery.
