A system and automated method for assessing ventricular synchrony in ambulatory patients is provided including at least one mechanical sensor (e.g., accelerometer, tensiometric sensor, force transducer, and the like) operatively coupled to a first myocardial location in order to measure a wall motion signal of a first chamber, and a second mechanical sensor operatively coupled to a second myocardial location in order to measure a wall motion signal of a second chamber. The wall motion signals are processed in order to identify the time at which a fiducial (e.g., an inflection point, a threshold crossing, a maximum amplitude, etc.) occurs for each respective signal. The temporal separation between the fiducial points on each respective signal is measured as a metric of ventricular synchrony and can be optionally utilized to adjust pacing therapy timing to improve synchrony.

At least one of the monitored parameters may include one or more values used representatively for storage intervals of a selected length. As such, for each storage interval, a value may be determined for the one monitored parameter occurring at an upper percentile and a lower percentile. In addition, a median value may be determined for the one monitored parameter for each storage interval. Over a plurality of the storage intervals, these determined values can be used in one or more modes of statistical analysis to better identify and assess the arrhythmias.

A plurality of switches are each coupled to one of the plurality of tap capacitors for selectively coupling the tap capacitors together to produce a variable multi-tap capacitance. A processor is coupled to the memory and the switches to facilitate: detecting a trigger for changing a lumen level output by the light fixture; determining a new lumen level in response to the trigger; determining a capacitance value that corresponds to the new lumen level; and configuring the plurality of switches to produce the multi-tap capacitance that corresponds to the new lumen level. The processor can record data in the memory that represents times of lumen changes and switch settings, which data correlates to power consumption.
