    摘要: A battery module includes a first unit cell, a second unit cell, a first exhaust chamber, and a second exhaust chamber. The first unit cell is disposed so that a positive electrode terminal faces the first direction. The second unit cell is connected in series to the first unit cell, the negative electrode terminal is disposed so as to face the first direction, and the second unit is disposed so as to be adjacent to the first unit cell. The first exhaust chamber is disposed so as to face the positive electrode terminal of the first unit cell, and discharges a gas which is emitted from the positive electrode terminal of the first unit cell. The second exhaust chamber is disposed so as to face the positive electrode terminal of the second unit cell, and discharges a gas generated from the positive electrode terminal of the second unit cell. The end surface of the second unit cell in the first direction and the outer surface of the first exhaust chamber in the first direction are flush with each other. The end surface of the first unit cell in a second direction opposite to the first direction and the outer surface of the second exhaust chamber in the second direction are flush with each other.

    摘要: A battery module which is able to discharge high-temperature gas emitted from an abnormal battery cell to the outside of a case, without adversely affecting normal battery cells, while suppressing as much as possible an increase in the volume of the battery module due to an exhaust chamber, is provided. The battery module of the present invention includes: a case having an opening, and an exhaust port for discharging gas generated inside the case; a plurality of battery cells each having a terminal plate in which an open part for discharging gas generated inside the cell is provided, the battery cells being arranged inside the case with the terminal plates facing the opening of the case; and a lid attached to the case so as to cover the opening of the case, the lid including a flat plate, and a plurality of convex parts which protrude from a plane including the flat plate toward the inside of the case, and are connected to the terminal plates of the battery cells. A gas flow path leading from the open part of each battery cell to the exhaust port of the case is formed by gaps formed between the convex parts of the lid.

    摘要: Provided is a battery pack in which the production of heat due to passage of current in a connector for connecting secondary batteries in parallel is made uniform to increase service life and reduce maintenance costs. A positive terminal connector 14 comprises a connector 14 with through-holes 18. The connector 14 is divided into two regions: a distant region which is distant from the portion connected to an external terminal; and a close region which is close to the connection portion and has the same area as the distant region. The connector 14 is formed so that the open area ratio of the distant region is greater than that of the close region. Thus, the electrical resistance of the close region can be made smaller than that of the distant region. Therefore, the production of heat due to passage of current in the close region can be suppressed.

The positive electrode has a high-capacity positive electrode portion with a plate area per capacity of smaller than 200 cm2/Ah, and a high-power positive electrode portion with a plate area per capacity of 200 cm2/Ah or larger. The non-aqueous electrolyte battery is advantageous in providing a battery, with use of a single kind of non-aqueous electrolyte battery, which simultaneously satisfies the requirements on high-capacity characteristics capable of performing a long-term continuous discharge, and on high-power characteristics capable of performing a pulse discharge at a large current, without using a hybrid power supply unit which has multiple kinds of batteries and requires a complex control system.
