摘要: A battery module includes a first unit cell, a second unit cell, a first exhaust chamber, and a second exhaust chamber. The first unit cell is disposed so that a positive electrode terminal faces the first direction. The second unit cell is connected in series to the first unit cell, the negative electrode terminal is disposed so as to face the first direction, and the second unit is disposed so as to be adjacent to the first unit cell. The first exhaust chamber is disposed so as to face the positive electrode terminal of the first unit cell, and discharges a gas which is emitted from the positive electrode terminal of the first unit cell. The second exhaust chamber is disposed so as to face the positive electrode terminal of the second unit cell, and discharges a gas generated from the positive electrode terminal of the second unit cell. The end surface of the second unit cell in the first direction and the outer surface of the first exhaust chamber in the first direction are flush with each other. The end surface of the first unit cell in a second direction opposite to the first direction and the outer surface of the second exhaust chamber in the second direction are flush with each other.

摘要: A battery module (100) includes: a plurality of cells (10) connected in parallel; and a holder (20) configured to house the cells (10). In each of the cells (10), an electrode group (4) including a positive electrode (1), a negative electrode (2), and a separator (3) is housed in a cell case (7). The cell case (7) is electrically connected to one of the positive electrode (1) or the negative electrode (2) to have a first electric potential. The holder (20) includes a plurality of housings (21) each housing an associated one of the cells (10), and has a second electric potential opposite to the first electric potential. The cells (10) are housed in the housings (21) with the cell cases (7) being insulated from the holder (20).

摘要: The battery module includes a plurality of cells serving as cylindrical secondary batteries; and a temperature regulator configured to regulate a temperature of the cells, wherein the cells are aligned with their side surfaces adjacent to each other, all the cells are electrically connected to each other in series, the temperature regulator includes a heat transferring member, and a heat dissipation member, the heat transferring member includes a plurality of insertion portions inserted into space surrounded by the side surfaces of the plurality of cells, and a base portion facing lower surfaces of the cells, at least a part of the heat transferring member which faces the cells is made of an electrically insulative substance, and the cells connected to each other in series are isolated from each other by the heat transferring member in a liquid-tight manner at the side surfaces and bottom surfaces of the cells.

摘要: In a battery module including a plurality of batteries 40 stored in a housing, each of the batteries 40 includes an electrode portion 16 protruding from a battery case 5, a base 30A is arranged on a side of the electrode portions 16 so that the base 30A is in contact with the battery cases 5, and the electrode portions 16 are inserted in through holes 36 provided in the base 30A. Connection portions 320 connected to the electrode portions 16 are formed on upper surfaces of the electrode portions 16. A connection terminal 32 for connecting the batteries 40 in parallel is formed in a region on the base 30A in which the connection terminal 32 does not cover the through holes 36. The connection terminal 32 is connected to the connection portions 320 by fusible links 320A straddling the through holes 36.

摘要: The present invention provides a battery block that accommodates unit cells having higher capacities, and, even in case of abnormal heat generation in the unit cell, does not cause abnormal heat generation in the neighboring unit cells, thereby preventing a chain reaction of degradations and abnormalities of the accommodated unit cells. The battery block of the present invention includes a battery case having a minimum thickness section satisfying the relationship “K2/K1≧K3−1”. K1 is the thermal conductance between the battery case and the unit cell. K2 is the thermal conductance of the minimum thickness section of the battery case between two neighboring holes for accommodating the respective unit cells. K3 is a ratio between the abnormal heat temperature of a reference cell and the ambient temperature causing abnormal heat generation in this cell.
