Abstract: Apparatus, method and storage medium associated with UAV assisted emergency responses are disclosed herein. In embodiments, an UAV may comprise a flight controller to control at least one or more engines of the UAV to navigate the UAV to condition road traffic for an emergency vehicle on emergency en route to a destination, wherein to condition road traffic, the flight controller is to receive navigation data of the emergency vehicle, and in response, control at least the one or more engines to navigate the UAV in advance of the emergency vehicle, to alert road traffics ahead of the emergency vehicle of pending transit of the emergency vehicle. An example unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) includes a first electrode assembly to capacitively couple to a first power cable. The example UAV includes a second electrode assembly to capacitively couple to a second power cable. The first and second electrode assemblies, when capacitively coupled to the respective first and second power cables, are to receive power from at least one of the first and second power cables. The example UAV includes a power storage circuit to store the received power.

Abstract: In an example, a mobile computing device such as a tablet, laptop, or convertible is operable to couple to a docking station via high-frequency wireless such as WiGig at 60 GHz. Because high-frequency signals are highly directional, the mobile computing device is provided with a high-frequency antenna operable as a rotor. In one embodiment, the antenna is freely hinged to a gravitational pivot, and pivots toward the docking station responsive to gravitational torque. In another embodiment, an actuator drives the antenna to a correct angle responsive to a rotational sensor. In this case, an angle sweep may be performed around a midpoint to identify a best angle for high-frequency communication.

Abstract: A computer system includes two or more subsystems. In one example, a first subsystem is executing a multimedia application using data stored in a first storage device. A copy of the data is also stored in a second storage device associated with a second subsystem. The second subsystem may be a dedicated multimedia player controller. When the first subsystem is to enter a sleep state, the second subsystem may continue to process the multimedia data stored in the second storage device. The second subsystem may also use the same audio port that the first subsystem was using before it enters the sleep state. Appropriate transition point may be determined by the second subsystem to ease audio disruption.
