Abstract: A fastener tape for use in the manufacture of reclosable plastic bags is provided. The fastener tape comprises an intermediate layer and a reclosable fastener profile thereon. The intermediate layer includes three layers of co-extruded plastic, with not more than 4% EVA as the outer two layers and HDPE as the middle layer. The intermediate layer is folded so as to bring portions of the intermediate layer into an opposing relationship. These opposing portions are then sealed together by a pair of seal bars. By carefully controlling the sealing temperature, a consistent peel seal is created between the opposing portions of the intermediate layer without the need for an adhesive.

Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, data structures, and computer program products for maintaining correct transaction results when transaction management configurations change. An intermediate transaction manager is transparently interposed between one or more resource managers and a plurality of transaction managers. The intermediate transaction manager multiplexes and intercepts calls and notifications between the one or more resource managers and the plurality of transaction managers. The intermediate transaction manager is configured to wrap recovery cookies with transaction manager type information and identity information that identify transaction managers. The information can be used to re-attach to the transaction manager to recover the correct outcome of the transaction. The intermediate transaction manager can also intercept recovery-complete calls directed to a specific transaction manager and send the recovery-complete call to each of the plurality of transaction managers. Resource managers can receive, store, and send wrapped recovery cookies.

Abstract: A remote sensing device for determining at least one characteristic of a vehicle emission plume includes a radiation source, a detector, and a plurality of filters. Either the filters or the detector are movable relative to the other such that different filters, each of which is capable of filtering out radiation except radiation of a predetermined wavelength band, can be used to filter the radiation directed to the detector. Abstract: Vehicles for use in radiation scanning systems to inspect objects are disclosed. In one embodiment, a vehicle has a supporting portion and a radiation source is movably supported by the supporting portion. The source may be moved along the supporting portion to scan an object. The supporting portion may comprise an expandable portion. The vehicle may comprise a truck and an expandable trailer releasably coupled to the truck. The trailer may comprise telescoping rails. In another embodiment, a vehicle with a supporting portion, which may be an expandable portion, movably supports a detector. Vehicles of the first and second embodiments may be driven to an inspection site, where they may be rapidly deployed on opposite sides of an object to be scanned.
