    Abstract: A user equipment according to one aspect is a user equipment of a cellular communication system, the user equipment comprising a communicator configured to perform a radio communication by WLAN and/or Bluetooth, a cellular receiver configured to receive a configuration message which is transmitted from a network of the cellular communication system and sets an MDT measurement in which the cellular communication system is set as a measurement target, a controller configured to perform a radio measurement on the cellular communication system based on the configuration message, and a cellular transmitter configured to transmit, to the network, MDT measurement information including a measurement result for the cellular communication system. The controller is configured to include the measurement result for the WLAN and/or the Bluetooth in the MDT measurement information when the measurement result for the WLAN and/or the Bluetooth is available.

    Abstract: A user equipment, method, and chipset receive system information block (SIB) broadcasted from a base station, and while the user equipment is in a radio resource control (RRC) idle mode in which no RRC connection is established between the use equipment and the base station, the SIB is used to control the D2D communication. Data is transmitted to other user equipment by the D2D communication based on the SIB while the user equipment is in the RRC idle mode. The SIB includes resource information indicating usable radio resources for the D2D communication and power information used for controlling transmission power in the D2D communication. The transmitting comprises determinations of radio resources used to transmit the data based on the resource information and transmission power used in transmitting the data based on the power information, and transmitting the data using the determined radio resources and the determined transmission power.

    Abstract: A base station and method thereof includes transmitting from the base station to a user equipment, parameters for an offload from the cellular RAN to a wireless local area network (LAN). The parameters are used by the user equipment to perform an access network selection between the cellular RAN and the wireless LAN, and include a first threshold for comparison with a cellular signal strength of the cellular RAN, a second threshold for comparison with a wireless LAN signal strength of the wireless LAN, and a third threshold for comparison with a load of the wireless LAN. When performing access network selection, the parameters may cause the user equipment to perform the offload, in response to the cellular signal strength being lower than the first threshold, the wireless LAN signal strength being higher than the second threshold, and the load of the wireless LAN being lower than the third threshold.

    Abstract: A communication control method used in a mobile communication system supporting immediate MDT (Minimization of Drive Test) includes a user terminal in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state in a cell of the base station receiving an instruction from a base station, acquiring, in the RRC connected state, location information indicating a location of the user terminal based on the instruction from the base station, and measuring an uplink packet delay of uplink communication with the base station. The radio access bearers of the user terminal are associated with Quality of Service (QoS) characteristics to perform QoS control. The user terminal in the RRC connected state compares the measured uplink packet delay with a packet delay threshold value and determines whether to transmit a report to the base station based on result of the comparison. The report indicates the measured uplink packet delay.

    Abstract: A base station according to an embodiment is a base station configured to perform transmission to a user terminal by use of an unlicensed band. The base station comprises: a controller configured to start the transmission from a boundary of a subframe, but also to start the data transmission from a second-half slot out of a first-half slot and the second-half slot which configure a subframe. The controller is configured to transmit downlink control information in the second-half slot to start the transmission from the second-half slot. The controller is configured to change a modulation scheme to be applied to the transmission, depending on a start timing of the transmission, while fixing a transport block size applied to the subframe. The downlink control information is a PDCCH or an EPDCCH.
