    摘要: In a data transfer system, a transmission terminal is provided with a transmission unit and a divisional transmission unit. A server station is provided with mailboxes, a transmission/reception management unit, a divisional reception unit and a divisional transmission unit. A reception terminal is provided with a reception,/reconstruction unit and a divisional reception unit. In the transmission of video mail from the transmission unit (or from the transmission/reception management unit) to the transmission/reception management unit (or to the reception/reconstruction unit), audio and a frame (still picture) representative of a motion picture, among data contained in the video mail, are first sent by an ordinary method. Video data in the video mail are thereafter transmitted from the divisional transmission unit to the divisional reception unit by a plurality of separate operations. Such a construction can realize data transfer of the video mail which relieves traffic in multimedia data transmission and also copes with the urgency of the mail while making the best use of an existing network.

The plural buffers can be accessed independently of one another. Plural files are transferred between the buffers and the storage medium on a file-by-file basis. The access requests to the files are disposed of within the buffer.

Upon occurrence of an interrupt, execution of the task running at that time is suspended to allow the interrupt task to be executed. After execution of the interrupt task, one of the tasks remaining in the execution waiting state is selected for execution. A method of scheduling tasks with priority to the task locking a shared resource includes the steps of registering a task identifier of a task being executed upon locking of the task to a resource, invalidating the registered identifier of the task when that task releases the shared resource from the locked state, deciding whether or not a valid task identifier representing the task which was running by locking the shared resource is registered when a task to be executed next is to be selected after execution of the interrupt task, and selecting the task designated by the task identifier, if registered, to thereby select the task as the one to be executed with priority.

    摘要: A method for producing a duplication of a database stored in an external storage by writing over copy data of the database with update log data which was acquired after acquisition of the copy data. This method is implemented in a computer system having a virtual storage operating system. The system includes a virtual storage area which is defined as having virtual pages which have a one-to-one correspondence to blocks in an external copy data storage, where the virtual pages are the database copy data is stored and in an order according to physical addresses of the blocks. Each update log data is acquired in units of the blocks. A control table is provided which includes control values which have a one-to-one correspondence to the virtual pages. A control value from the control table is set when the update log data is set to the virtual pages. Repeated operations are made of reading out the update log data from the external log data storage and checking a corresponding control value to see if the control value is set, and setting the control value if it was not set. The control table is then searched in the order of virtual page arrangement and where the control values are set the update log data is read out and is written over the copy data in the external copy data storage. This writing thereby being done in such order that the actuator has a minimal travel distance to a track position of external storage where the copy data is stored.

    摘要: The invention provides an efficient method for controlling the flow rate of a particulate material through a pneumatic transportation pipe at a preset value with a high accuracy and rapid response to an external disturbance added to the system by controlling the flow rate of the booster gas. Different from conventional methods in which the flow rate of the booster gas is controlled with the feedforward factor of the variation in the actual flow rate of the particulate material, the inventive method utilizes the variation in the pressure in the receiving unit as the feedback to control the flow rate of the booster gas so that the above mentioned advantages are obtained in the accuracy of control and rapidness of the response to an external disturbance.
