Abstract: In a sewing machine which has a conventional needle amplitude adjusting device and a conventional fabric feed adjusting device are used as a detector for receiving an input of an information of a stitch coordinate, and an connector member is provided which is adapted to move said devices vertically and laterally. The operating member is attached to the sewing machine. When the operating connector member is moved and this movement is designated to be stored, a value of each of vertically and laterally crossing components of said member is detected, respectively, in said devices, and each of said values is stored in a random-access-memory. If the operating connector member traces a desired pattern sample and the memory designation is operated, the data of a continuously stitching coordinate of said desired pattern are stored.

Abstract: A displacement - electricity transducer contains a movable magnetic core and a fixed magnetic core oppositely arranged so as to have predetermined gaps or clearances in at least two places. Two substantially closed magnetic circuits, each including one of the gaps, are formed by both magnetic cores, so that when the movable magnetic core is displaced relative to the fixed magnetic core while maintaining a predetermined spacing therefrom, the substantially opposite area of the gap portion in one of the magnetic circuits increases, while the substantially opposite area of the gap portion in the other magnetic circuit decreases. A first coil is wound around a part common to the two magnetic circuits, while a second coil is wound around a part not common thereto. By applying an alternating current to the first coil, an output responsive to the displacement of the movable magnetic core is derived from the second coil.

Abstract: In a hot press molding method for press-molding a heated material and cooling the material while holding the material in a mold, during press molding of the material, shape changes including a portion that curves with respect to a longitudinal direction of the material are molded at longitudinal opposite end portions of the material and resistance to thermal contraction force of the material in the longitudinal direction during cooling is imparted. In one embodiment of the present invention, the shape changes molded on the material during the press molding are minute protrusions provided on surfaces of the longitudinal opposite end portions of the material. The invention makes it possible to suppress thermal contraction of the material during cooling in hot press molding to thereby prevent defects associated therewith.
