    Abstract: The present invention includes an image information decoding method which comprises: a step of receiving a bitstream that includes a network abstraction layer (NAL) unit including information related to an encoded image; and a step of parsing an NAL unit header of the NAL unit. The NAL unit header includes layer information including reserved_one_5bits for identifying an extended layer in an extended bitstream and temporal_id for identifying a temporal layer of a bitstream. The reserved_one_5bits of the layer information is received prior to the temporal_id of the layer information. Thus, a method for describing scalability information in a hierarchical bitstream is provided.

    Abstract: An image decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: acquiring information on a first SAO and information on a second SAO of a current block through a bit stream; generating a reconstructed block of the current block; and performing an SAO procedure for the reconstructed block on the basis of the first SAO and the second SAO, wherein the information on the first SAO comprises first offset type information applied to the first SAO and first offset value information for n offset values, and the information on the second SAO comprises second offset type information applied to the second SAO and second offset value information for m offset values. According to the present invention, an efficient SAO procedure can be performed on the basis of a plurality of SAOs, and the video quality of images can be further improved.

    Abstract: An image decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus according to the present invention comprises the steps of: generating a reconstruction area for a target area within a current picture; deriving a predetermined plurality of basic filters for the target area; updating at least one basic filter among the plurality of basic filters; receiving weight information for each of the basic filters; determining a merge filter for the target area on the basis of the basic filters and the weight information; and generating a modified reconstruction area by performing filtering on the target area on the basis of the filter coefficient of the determined merge filter. The present invention allows updating with filter information suitable for improving the visual quality of the target area and can thereby improve the accuracy of filtering and overall coding efficiency.

    Abstract: A method for filtering a reconstructed picture performed by an encoding device, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: deriving first filter information for a target region of a reconstructed picture; selecting one among the derived first filter information and a second filter information included in the filter bank; and performing filtering on the target region in the reconstructed picture on the basis of the selected filter information, wherein, if the first filter information is selected, the filter bank is updated, and if the second filter information is selected, a filter index may be transmitted to a decoder. According to the present invention, the filtering of a reconstructed picture on the basis of the filter bank may be efficiently performed, and the amount of data allocated to the transmission/reception of filter information is reduced therethrough, consequently enabling the increase of compression and coding efficiency.
