    摘要: A system of processing of three dimensional [3D] image data for display on a 3D display for a viewer is described. 3D display metadata defines spatial display parameters of the 3D display such as depth range supported by the 3D display. Viewer metadata defines spatial viewing parameters of the viewer with respect to the 3D display, such as viewing distance or inter-pupil distance. Source 3D image data arranged for a source spatial viewing configuration is processed to generate target 3D display data for display on the 3D display in a target spatial viewing configuration. First the target spatial configuration is determined in dependence of the 3D display metadata and the viewer metadata. Then, the source 3D image data is converted to the target 3D display data based on differences between the source spatial viewing configuration and the target spatial viewing configuration.

    摘要: A system of transferring of three dimensional (3D) image data for compositing and displaying is described. The information stream comprising video information and overlay information, the video information comprising at least a 2D video stream and 3D video information for enabling rendering of the video information in 3D, the overlay information comprising at least a 2D overlay stream and 3D overlay information for enabling rendering of the overlay information in 3D. In the system according to the invention, the compositing of video plane takes place in the display device instead of the playback device. The system comprises a playback device adapted for transmitting over the video interface a sequence of frames, the sequence of frames comprising units, each unit corresponding to decompressed video information and decompressed overlay information intended to be composited and displayed as a 3D image, and a display device adapted for receiving over the video interface the sequence of frames and extracting the 3D video information and the 3D overlay information from the units and compositing the units into 3D frames and displaying the 3D frames.

    摘要: An apparatus generates an image coding signal comprising for each image a first pixelized picture and a second pixelized picture having a luminance component and a chroma component. The apparatus comprises a first picture processor (203, 211) which includes image encoding data for an encoded first image in the first pixelized picture. A second picture processor (205, 207, 209, 211) includes dynamic range extension data in the second pixelized picture. The dynamic range extension data may be dynamic range extension data included in a chroma component of the second pixelized picture for generating an increased dynamic range image on the basis of the encoded first image. The compensation data may e.g. be compensation data for correcting another LDR-to-HDR transform, e.g. a prefixed global gamma transformation. The dynamic range extension data may be included in a luminance component and comprise data representing a dynamic range extension transform for generating an increased dynamic range image from the encoded first image.

Advantageously the source of the video information is enabled to control the processing of graphics in HDR display mode via the HDR processing instruction.
