Abstract:
An intermediation method used in an intermediation system that includes an intermediation device determining a permission for application services requiring user authentication on a network, where in response to a user request, a first account used for a first service and a second account used for a second service, and a registration request for using the linking service linking the first application service and the second application service are associated with each other, when the two accounts are valid, as accounts usable in a linking service, an association between the first and second services is stored in the intermediation device, and when the user makes a request to use the linked services, that use is controlled by a query to the intermediation device regarding whether the account is associated as able to use the linking service.
Abstract:
A conversion method for converting luminance of a video, including a luminance value in a first luminance range, to be displayed on a display apparatus includes: acquiring a first luminance signal indicating a code value obtained by quantization of the luminance value of the video; and converting the code value indicated by the acquired first luminance signal into a second luminance value determined based on a luminance range of the display apparatus, the second luminance value being compatible with a second luminance range with a maximum value smaller than a maximum value of the first luminance range and larger than 100 nit. This provides the conversion method capable of achieving further improvement.
Abstract:
In a reproduction method, a video stream has a first dynamic range where a maximum value of a luminance dynamic range is more than a predetermined luminance value, and a display apparatus displays video in a second dynamic range narrower than the first dynamic range. The reproduction method displays video based on a first reproduction signal or a second reproduction signal. The first reproduction signal is obtained by: reproducing a first video stream quantized based on a hybrid OETF without performing luminance conversion; or reproducing the first video stream subjected to the luminance conversion. The second reproduction signal is obtained by performing the luminance conversion on a second video stream not quantized based on the hybrid OETF, and reproducing the second video stream subjected to the luminance conversion.
Abstract:
An apparatus according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes: one or more memories, and circuitry which, in operation; decodes a video stream to generate a first video signal with a first luminance range; acquires characteristic data indicating the luminance range of the first video signal; converts the characteristic data into control information according to a predetermined transmission protocol; and outputs the control information in accordance with the predetermined transmission protocol.

Abstract:
A device control method used in a device control system in which an operation terminal is used to remotely operate a device with a server device mediating between the operation terminal and the device, the device control method including: acquiring, upon reception of an operation instruction for operation of the device from the operation terminal, environment information pertaining to at least one of the device and the operation terminal; performing a determination of whether or not to cause execution of processing corresponding to the operation instruction based on whether or not the environment information satisfies a predetermined condition; and causing the device to execute an execution command for execution of the processing when a result of the determination is affirmative, and not causing the device to execute the execution command when the result of the determination is negative.
Abstract:
Provided is a production apparatus that can produce a distribution content that offers an even richer color tone expression during playback of video. The production apparatus for producing a distribution content including distribution video data is constituted by an original acquisition unit that acquires original video data; a distribution video acquisition unit that acquires the distribution video data, the distribution video data having been generated by conversion of the original video data to a lower gradation; a difference generation unit that generates difference data between the original video data and the distribution video data; and an output unit that outputs the difference data. A playback apparatus plays back the distribution content.

Abstract:
Device control method including: operation receiving step of receiving a device control operation for controlling a device; determining step of determining whether an operation terminal is in a first state or a second state; limiting step of, when determined in the determining step that the operation terminal is in the second state, limiting a range of controls of the device made available to the operation terminal when in the second state so as to correspond to part of a range of controls of the device made available to the operation terminal when in the first state; and device controlling step of controlling the device based on the device control operation. When determined in the determining step that the operation terminal is in the second state, the device is controlled within the range of controls of the device made available to the operation terminal when in the second state.
