摘要: An imaging system including a migration imaging member comprising a substrate and an electrically insulating softening layer adjacent the substrate, the softenable layer comprising a fracturable layer of electrically photosensitive migration marking material located substantially at or near the surface of the softenable layer spaced from the substrate, and a copolymer of styrene and ethyl acrylate in at least one layer adjacent the substrate, the copolymer comprising between about 40 and about 80 mole percent styrene, between about 20 and about 60 mole percent ethyl acrylate, the copolymer having a M.sub.n between about 4,000 and about 35,000, a M.sub.w between about 10,000 and about 80,000, a T.sub.g between about 30.degree. C. and about 75.degree. C., and a melt viscosity between about 1.times.10.sup.2 poise and about 1.times.10.sup.6 poise at 115.degree. C.The migration imaging member may be imaged by charging, imagewise exposing to activating radiation and developing with heat, solvent vapor, or solvent vapor pretreatment followed by heat. Some embodiments of the imaged member, wherein the softenable layer contains a charge transport material, may be utilized as a master in a zeroprinting process. The copolymer of styrene and ethyl acrylate may be in an adhesive layer of charge transport spacing layer between the substrate and the sofenable layer, or in the softenable layer itself. If desired, the copolymer in any of the aforesaid layers may be a terpolymer of styrene, ethyl acrylate and a copolymerizable organic acid having carbon-to-carbon unsaturation or a copolymerizable derivative of the organic acid.

摘要: Various embodiments provide materials and methods for forming a graphene product by vacuum induction heating expandable graphite. The graphene product can include graphene nano-sheets with high purity and uniform thickness. The graphene nano-sheets can contain carbon of more than about 99% by weight. The graphene nano-sheets can be exfoliated or dispersed within a matrix of a semiconducting polymer to form a graphene-containing composite.

摘要: The present teachings provide a fuser member comprising a substrate and a release layer. The release layer is disposed on the substrate and includes a plurality of carbon nanotubes. The carbon nanotubes have a hydroxyphenylmaleimide group covalently bonded to an outer surface of the plurality of carbon nanotubes and a fluoroelastomer shell layer covalently bonded to the hydroxyphenylmaleimide. The plurality of carbon nanotubes are in dispersed one or more fluoro-materials. There is also described the carbon nanotubes and a method of making the carbon nanotubes.

摘要: A process for the preparation of hydroxygallium phthalocyanines which comprises hydrolyzing a gallium phthalocyanine precursor pigment by dissolving said hydroxygallium phthalocyanine in a strong acid and then reprecipitating the resulting dissolved pigment in basic aqueous media; removing any ionic species formed by washing with water, concentrating the resulting aqueous slurry comprised of water and hydroxygallium phthalocyanine to a wet cake; removing water from said slurry by azeotropic distillation with an organic solvent, and subjecting said resulting pigment slurry to mixing with the addition of a second solvent to cause the formation of said hydroxygallium phthalocyanine polymorphs.

摘要: A process for the preparation of titanyl phthalocyanine which comprises the reaction of a titanium tetraalkoxide and diiminoisoindolene in the presence of a halonaphthalene solvent; dissolving the resulting Type I titanyl phthalocyanine in a haloacetic acid and an alkylene halide; adding the resulting mixture slowly to a cold alcohol solution; and thereafter isolating the resulting Type X titanyl phthalocyanine with an average volume particle size diameter of from about 0.02 to about 0.5 micron.
