Abstract: Monostatic radar with progressive length transmission may be used with half-duplex systems or with full-duplex systems to reduce self-interference. The system transmits a first signal for a first duration and receives a first reflection of the first signal from a first object during a second duration. The system transmits a second signal for a third duration longer than the first duration and receives a second reflection of the second signal from a second object during a fourth duration. The system calculates a position of the first object and the second object based on the first reflection and the second reflection. The first signal, first duration, and second duration are configured to detect reflections from objects within a first distance of the system. The second signal, third duration, and fourth duration are configured to detect reflections from objects between the first distance and a second distance from the system.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide for the pairing of an inter-band carrier with a time division duplex (TDD) carrier. If the paired band is a frequency division duplex (FDD) band, then base stations and mobile devices may transmit and receive additional thin control channels on FDD carriers to enable full duplex operations. If the paired band is a TDD band, then a conjugate or inverse carrier may be used such that full duplex, or a close approximation thereto, is achieved. With the introduction of a paired channel and fast control channels, rapid uplink/downlink switching may be achieved for TDD carriers efficiently and effectively. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: An apparatus may utilize an air interface to transmit and/or receive a transmission during a first TTI that includes a second set of data overriding a first set of data scheduled for transmission during the first TTI. The air interface may further be utilized to transmit and/or receive a transmission during one or more additional TTIs that includes a third set of data in a data portion of a subframe, and a control channel that is at least partially embedded in the data portion. The control channel may include an override indicator configured to indicate that the first set of data scheduled for transmission during the first TTI is overridden by the second set of data having the higher priority. The override indicator may be transmitted after the second set of data is transmitted. The one or more additional TTIs may be after the first TTI.

Abstract: The disclosure relates in some aspects to an energy-aware architecture that supports a low power scheduling mode. Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer program product, and an apparatus are provided. The method may be performed by a scheduling entity. The scheduling entity transmits control information in a control portion of the subframe, the control information corresponding to data information within the subframe, transmits the data information in a data portion of the subframe, receives a pilot signal from the set of subordinate entities in a pilot portion of the subframe, and receives an ACK/NACK signal from the set of subordinate entities in an ACK portion of the subframe. The ACK portion is subsequent to the pilot portion of the subframe. The ACK/NACK signal includes acknowledgment information corresponding to the data information. The control portion, the data portion, the pilot portion, and the ACK portion are contained in the same subframe.

Abstract: One or more selectively activated features needed at a device to use a network service may be identified. Authorization information and feature activation key(s) associated with features that the device has been authorized to activate may be obtained at the device. The feature activation key(s) may be used to activate and/or maintain activation of the authorized features that match the selectively activated feature(s) needed to use the network service. An authorization server may obtain a request to activate one or more selectively activated features of a device. The authorization server may verify that the selectively activated feature(s) are authorized to be used at the device based on an authorization agreement obtained at the authorization server. The authorization server may send proof that the device is authorized to use the selectively activated feature(s) and may send feature activation key(s) based on the authorization agreement in response to the request.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to techniques for on-demand paging. In one aspect, a method is provided for receiving a paging message by a mobile device. The method generally includes acquiring network time, determining, based on the network time or an internal timer, that the mobile device is within a paging window wherein the mobile device can receive a paging message, and sending an indication message, in response to the determination. The mobile device may receive a response to the indication message, the response indicating whether or not there is a paging message for the mobile device.
