    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may receive a downlink (DL) reception indication during an active duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration. The DL reception indication may indicate the presence of a reception opportunity following an inactivity interval, as well as the length of the inactivity interval. The wireless device may refrain from DL monitoring during the inactivity interval. In some cases, the wireless device may enter a sleep mode during the inactivity interval and wake up to receive a subsequent transmission during the reception opportunity. In some examples, the wireless device may use the inactivity interval to communicate using a different radio access technology (RAT).

    Abstract: Bandwidth part (BWP) switching may benefit a wireless communications system. Such BWP switching may include indication of one or more timing parameters used for time domain resource allocation. For example, the timing parameters may be indicated based on an index to a look-up table (e.g., a bit field in a control transmission). In some cases, one or more tables may be configured for a given BWP, and different tables may contain a different number of rows. The size of the bit field indexing the table may in turn depend on the number of rows. When switching from a first BWP to a second BWP, the size of the bit field may be based on the table of the first BWP, but the bit field may index the table of the second BWP. Techniques supporting improved timing parameter management during BWP switching are discussed herein.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a second communication, of a bandwidth part (BWP) selection process, that indicates a subset of BWPs, of a set of BWPs, to be selected as a set of active BWPs, wherein the set of BWPs is configured to the UE for a component carrier via radio resource control signaling as a first communication of the BWP selection process, wherein the subset of BWPs includes one or more BWPs of the set of BWPs. In some aspects, the UE may select the subset of BWPs as the set of active BWPs based at least in part on receiving the second communication, wherein a particular BWP, of the subset of BWPs, is to be used for a post-BWP selection process communication.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques at a user equipment (UE) provide for efficiently identifying a dormancy state of a secondary cell (SCell) configured for communications with a base station. A UE may be configured with a duration of time for which an SCell is to be in an indicated dormancy state. Accordingly, when the UE receives an indication of a dormancy state for an SCell, the UE may determine that the SCell is in the indicated dormancy state for the duration of time. The UE may also be configured with a default dormancy state of the SCell. Thus, after the duration of time expires, the UE may determine that the SCell is in the default dormancy state (e.g., the UE may fall back to the default dormancy of the SCell after the duration of time expires).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may be configured to transition to communicating on a first bandwidth part from communicating on a second bandwidth part. In order to ensure that the UE is able to perform receiver processing for demodulating data received on the first bandwidth part, after transitioning to communicating on the first bandwidth part, the UE may be configured to perform receiver processing using reference signals received on the second bandwidth part. That is, for a configured period of time, before the UE is able to perform receiver processing for demodulating data received on the first bandwidth part using reference signals received on the first bandwidth part, the UE may perform receiver processing for demodulating data received on the first bandwidth part using reference signals received on the second bandwidth part.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a UE capability message to a base station, the UE capability message including an indication of a UE type, wherein the UE type is associated with at least one of a reduced bandwidth, or a reduced number of antennas, or a combination thereof for the UE. The UE may receive, based at least in part on the UE capability message, a downlink grant for downlink resources for a data transmission in accordance with a resource allocation scheme, wherein the resource allocation scheme is associated with the UE type and a supported bandwidth part of the UE. The UE may monitor a wireless channel based at least in part on the downlink grant. The UE may receive the data transmission based at least in part on the monitoring of the wireless channel.
