Abstract: A cover for covering an opening of a socket formed by a housing comprises a body; one or more bosses extending from the body, a first locking mechanism, a second locking mechanism, and a release tab. The bosses movably couple the body to the housing such that the body is movable between first and second positions. The first locking mechanism releasably attaches to the housing to secure the body in the first position. The second locking mechanism releasably attaches to the housing to secure the body in the second position. The release tab aids in detaching the first locking mechanism from the first wall and the second locking mechanism from the second wall. When the body is in the first position, the body allows access to the socket through the opening. When the body is in the second position, the body prevents access to the socket through the opening.

Abstract: A swing arm lock mechanism for securing a printed circuit board to a bracket includes a main body, a hooked arm, and an aperture in the main body. The hooked arm extends from and is integral with the main body. The hooked arm and main body define an open-ended slot for engaging a lock pin disposed on the bracket. The aperture receives a fastener for securing the main body to the printed circuit board such that the main body and hooked arm can rotate about a central axis of the fastener from a first unlocked position to a second locked position.

Abstract: A component carrier includes a baseboard, two sidewalls, and an ejector. The two sidewalls extend from opposite sides of the baseboard. The ejector includes a side plate, a handle, and a tab. The side plate is positioned in proximity to a first sidewall of the two sidewalls of the component carrier. The handle extends from a first end of the side plate in a first direction that is generally perpendicular to the side plate. The tab is positioned in proximity to the baseboard, and extends from a second opposing end of the side plate in a second direction that is generally perpendicular to the side plate and opposite to the first direction, the tab coupled to a first connector extending from the baseboard. The baseboard includes a first opening such that a portion of the tab of the ejector is configured to directly contact the electronic component therethrough.

Abstract: A fan assembly includes a socket to receive a fan module, a fan flap coupled to a first side wall of the socket, and an anti-reflow device coupled to a second side wall of the socket. The fan flap moves in a curved path between a first position and a second position. The anti-reflow device has an attachment feature, an embossed feature, and a stopping feature. The attachment feature attaches the anti-reflow device to the second side wall. The embossed feature extends through a first aperture in the second side wall. The stopping feature extends through a second aperture in the second side wall and contacts the fan flap. When the fan module is removed, the stopping feature retains the fan flap in the first position to block the socket and prevent air from reflowing through the socket.

Abstract: A fan module holder for holding a fan module generating air flow is disclosed. The holder includes a base, a first wall and a second wall, and a plurality of hooks. The first wall and the second wall extend from opposite ends of the base. The plurality of hooks extends from a top section of the first wall and the second wall and is configured to secure a cooling system. A plurality of apertures is formed as a vent in the first wall. Each of the plurality of hooks includes a protrusion extending therefrom. The second wall includes a cutout. The fan module abuts the base, the first wall, and the second wall of the holder when the holder is in an installed position. The base is generally rectangular and includes a plurality of cylinders.

The fan cage module further includes a back section for receiving one or more fan bodies. The combined fan circuit board, fan cage module and guide bracket are a single integrated unit insertable and extractable from a chassis opening of a computer chassis.

Abstract: A tiered locking mechanism secures a component card to a printed circuit board and includes a base, a top slider structure, and a biasing element. The base includes a first-tier side wall and a coupling structure configured to engage the PCB. The top slider structure includes a second-tier side wall along with protrusions having a beveled edge. The top slider structure is slidable between locked and unlocked positions. The unlocked position includes the protrusions being displaced away from a component card engagement side relative to the locked position. A bottom one of the protrusions and the first-tier side wall form a first receiving slot in the locked position. Atop one of the plurality of protrusions and the second-tier wall form a second receiving slot. The biasing element is configured to urge the top slider structure toward the locked position and to compress as the top slider structure moves away from the component card engagement side.

Abstract: A riser bracket for supporting a riser board and a computer card inserted into the riser board is disclosed. The riser bracket includes a first riser bracket piece, a first latch, a second riser bracket piece, and a second latch. The computer card and the riser board are positioned on a motherboard. The first riser bracket piece is configured to be coupled to the riser board. The first latch is configured to the first riser bracket piece to a first mounting point of the motherboard, and to move between a latched position and an unlatched position. The second riser bracket piece is coupled to the first riser bracket piece. The second latch is configured to couple the second riser bracket piece to a second mounting point of the motherboard, and move between a latched position and an unlatched position.
