Abstract: A novel display device that is highly convenient, useful, or reliable is provided. The display device includes a light guide plate, a display panel, and an intermediate layer, and the light guide plate includes a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is irradiated with light, the second surface has a function of distributing light, the second surface is in contact with the intermediate layer, and the second surface has a first refractive index N1 in a region in contact with the intermediate layer. The display panel faces the second surface, the display panel is in contact with the intermediate layer, and the display panel has a function of scattering the distributed light. The intermediate layer includes a region positioned between the second surface and the display panel, and the intermediate layer has a second refractive index N2 in a region in contact with the second surface. The second refractive index N2 is smaller than the first refractive index N1.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device is provided, which includes a thin film transistor including an oxide semiconductor layer, a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer having an opening, a light-transmitting chromatic-color resin layer between the thin film transistor and the second electrode layer, and a liquid crystal layer. One of the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer is a pixel electrode layer which is electrically connected to the thin film transistor, and the other of the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer is a common electrode layer. The light-transmitting chromatic-color resin layer is overlapped with the pixel electrode layer and the oxide semiconductor layer of the thin film transistor.

Abstract: Provided are a display device and the driving method of the display device with which eye fatigue of a user in long-term use of the display device is reduced. The display device includes a display unit, a detection unit, and a control unit. The detection unit detects a condition of a user's eye to obtain detected information and transmits the detected information to the control unit. The control unit extracts fatigue information on the user from the detected information and drives the display unit such that a luminance of light with a wavelength shorter than or equal to a predetermined wavelength among light emitted from the display unit is changed on the basis of the fatigue information.
