    Abstract: The invention relates to cell re-selection as a consequence of UE mobility in a scenario where coverage enhancement (CE) is employed for multiple repetitions of messages communicated on a wireless link between the UE and the network, and where a CE policy defines a repetition level. Accordingly, a communication device (130) receives at least one downlink control message (6031) from a base station (112, 112-1) of a source cell (181) of a network (100), the at least one downlink control message (6031) being indicative of access restrictions of a plurality of candidate cells (182, 183) of the network (100); more particularly, the at least one downlink control message (6031) is indicative, for each candidate cell (182, 183) of the plurality of candidate cells (182, 183), of at least one respective regulated repetition level. Based on the at least one downlink control message (6031), the communication device (130) selects a target cell (182, 183) from the plurality of candidate cells (182, 183); and communication between the communication device (130) and a base station (112, 112-2, 112-3) of the target cell (182, 183) is performed.

    Abstract: The media production element combines media content from a plurality of streaming electronic devices when they are registered to be within the same streaming event. The media production element can produce a combined live video stream or a combined media production using selections and combinations of the streamed content provided by the multiple electronic devices. A network assistance device can receive priority information from the media production element and determine event-coordinated uplink network assistance data based on an event priority assignment corresponding to the event or an individual priority assignment corresponding to a particular device registered to the event with the goal of prioritizing resource allocation to clients/electronic devices that currently are used for the combined media production, and assigning less resources to those that are not currently used or have a lower priority.

    Abstract: Multi-beam multiplexing in mobile radio communication networks, specifically for initial network access transmissions, such as Random Access Channel (RACH) transmissions and other initial network access signals that affect the operation of the Random Access operation. A network node is configured to distribute, simultaneously, a plurality of beams across a predetermined coverage area. Each of the beams are associated with a different coverage area. In addition, a plurality of sub-carriers are precoded in an OFDM modulated signal, which includes control information, for the purpose of shaping (i.e., beamforming) each of the plurality of beams. In this regard, one or more sub-carriers are mapped to a beam.

    Abstract: A method of operating a terminal device and a base station in a wireless telecommunications system to communicate with one another using a primary component carrier operating on radio resources within a first frequency band and a secondary component carrier operating on radio resources within a second frequency band. The terminal device makes measurements of radio usage in the second frequency band, e.g. by other devices which are not part of the wireless telecommunications system but which can also use radio resources within the second frequency band. The terminal device transmits an indication of the measurements to the base station, and on the basis if this the base station establishes a configuration setting for the secondary component carrier, for example in terms of frequency resources to use for the secondary component carrier. The configuration setting is associated with a validity period during which the base station communicates data to the terminal device using the primary component carrier and the secondary component carrier operating in accordance with its configuration setting. When the validity period expires, the terminal device again measures and reports on radio usage so the base station can determine an updated configuration setting for the secondary component carrier that takes account of any changes in radio usage during the validity period.
