    Abstract: A method of forming quantum rod (QR) films includes: forming a transmissive film on a substrate; forming a plurality of stripe-shaped slots on the transmissive film; forming a QR layer on an alignment film, the QR layer comprising curing adhesives, and QRs and electric field-sensing monomers doped in the curing adhesives; applying an electrical field on the QR layer, so that under the effect of the electric field, the electric field-sensing monomers drive the QRs aligning with the plurality of stripe-shaped slots; and curing the curing adhesive so to bind the QRs. The present invention also proposes a QR light-emitting display device having a QR film made by the above mention method. The alignment of the long axes of QRs would be improved. It would enhance the luminance of the light emitted from the light-emitting side of the QR film.

    Abstract: A light guiding system includes an ambient light gathering system, multiple light guiding devices and a wedge light guiding bar. The ambient light gathering system facing ambient light is used for absorbing the ambient light. Each light guiding device absorbs the absorbed light. The wedge light guiding bar has a light-out surface and a light-in surface coupled to the light-out surface. The light-in surface is a wide surface coupled to an inclined surface. The light-out surface is opposite to the inclined surface and next to a light-in side of a light guide plate. The wedge light guiding bar for use in the light guiding system, an edge-lighting backlight module and an LCD device can reduce cost of material and weight. Also, the light uniformity of the light output end is improved and the optical quality of the edge-lighting backlight module is raised.

    Abstract: A backlight module is disclosed. The backlight module includes an ambient light collector for collecting ambient lights, at least one optical fiber connecting to the ambient light collector, a light emitting plate arranged closely to an optical plate, at least one fixing sleeve being received in the through hole, and at least one optical fiber sleeve. The light emitting plate includes a plurality of through holes. The optical fiber sleeve is fixed within the fixing sleeve and engages with the light emitting ends of the optical fibers to fix the optical fibers on the light emitting plate. The backlight module utilizes the ambient lights as light source. In addition, by cutting the light emitting end of the optical fibers, the light emitting angle of the lights are greatly enlarged. As such, the brightness difference is decreased and the display performance is enhanced.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides a display device and a LED emitting light on four sides thereof. The LED emitting light on four sides includes metallic substrates, a blue chip, golden lines, light emitting materials and a reflective white adhesive layer. The metallic substrates include a first metallic substrate and a second metallic substrate. A transparent holder is fixated with the first metallic substrate and the second metallic substrate, forming a containing cavity. A light emitting chip is across disposed on the first metallic substrate and the second metallic substrate. The light emitting materials are filled in the containing cavity and covering the blue chip. The reflective white adhesive layer is disposed on a top surface of the light emitting materials. The LED emitting light on four sides provided by the disclosure is simply manufactured and low in costs.

Additionally, a liquid crystal display including the above backlight module is disclosed. The light guide plate structure in the backlight module may reduce a light mixing height of the backlight module and is advantageous to thinning the product; in addition, the structure of the light guide plate is simple and easy to be implemented, which is advantageous to lower the cost of the product.

    Abstract: A graphene display, and the graphene display's driving method and device are disclosed. The graphene display driving method includes: obtaining the grey-level values of the three primary colors of a pixel to be input; determining the colors and the grey-level values of the two dynamic subpixels and the static subpixel according to the grey-level values of the pixel's three primary colors and a pre-determined correspondence relationship between three primary colors' grey-level values and four primary colors' grey-level values; and applying driving voltages respectively corresponding to the colors and grey-level values of the two dynamic subpixels and the static subpixel to the two dynamic subpixels and the static subpixel. The present disclosure is able to achieve a greater gamut, enhance display quality, and reduce power consumption of the display.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a light source component, which includes a power supply plate; at least two point light sources disposed on the power supply plate; and a reflective block disposed on the power supply plate and between two point light sources adjacent to each other, wherein the reflective block is used to reflect light emitted from the point light sources thereto along a direction away from the power supply plate. The present disclosure further provides a backlight module and a liquid crystal display with the light source component. The present disclosure can reduce the amount of the point light source used and save the cost significantly when manufacturing point light sources of the same number by disposing a reflective block which serves equivalently as a point light source between the point light sources.
