摘要: A vacuum cleaner has a suction air inlet disposed in front of an electric blower and a dust chamber detachably installed to the rear of the electric blower. The vacuum cleaner further embodies a swivel caster and wheels for facilitating transportability thereof, wherein the swivel caster is provided in front of the electric blower. By not having the dust chamber above the swivel caster, regardless of the amount of dust accumulated in the dust chamber, the load that is distributed on the swivel caster stays substantially unchanged, thereby enhancing durability of the swivel caster. Furthermore, in such configuration loading and unloading of the dust chamber can be carried out without being interfered with a hose due to the placement of the suction air outlet connected with the hose and the dust chamber on opposite ends of the vacuum cleaner.

摘要: An iris authentication apparatus includes an iris area extraction unit, registration pattern generating unit, collation pattern generating unit, and collation unit. The iris area extraction unit extracts iris areas from a sensed registration eyeball image and a sensed collation eyeball image. When the iris area extraction unit extracts an iris area from the registration eyeball image, the registration pattern generating unit generates a registration iris pattern image by performing polar coordinate transformation of an image in the extracted iris area. When the iris area extraction unit extracts an iris area from the collation eyeball image, the collation pattern generating unit generates a collation iris pattern image by performing polar coordinate transformation of an image in the extracted iris area. The collation unit collates the registration iris pattern image output from the registration pattern generating unit and the collation iris pattern image output from the collation pattern generating unit on the basis of a correlation therebetween.

摘要: A method for coating a porous polyurethane resin substrate with an aromatic isocyanate coating composition is provided comprising the steps of (i) providing a porous substrate of a polyurethane foam resin comprising at least one surface upon which the aromatic isocyanate coating composition is to be applied; (ii) applying at least one coating of a primary layer to the substrate surface, the primary layer comprising an aqueous solution of a compound that includes at least one —OH reactive group in its non-aqueous, dry state, and capable, upon drying, of forming a self-supporting, continuous film on the substrate surface at room temperature; (iii) optionally subjecting the applied primary layer to forced drying conditions at a temperature below the softening point of the porous polyurethane resin substrate; and (iv) after allowing the primary layer to substantially dry, applying a secondary layer comprising an aromatic isocyanate compound to the primary layer to form a continuous, film-forming coating on the substrate surface, preferably one having the property of being water-impermeable or water-impermeable and water vapor-permeable.

摘要: The present invention provides a novel nitrile compound useful as an intermediate for the production of, for example, N,N-substituted cyclic amine derivatives or phenylacetonitrile derivatives that are useful as a medicine. Specifically it provides a nitrile carboxylic acid compound, nitrile ester compound and nitrile alcohol compound. That is, it provides a nitrile compound represented by the following formula (I): wherein R1 and R2 means substituents; m means 0 or an integer of from 1 to 6; n means 0 or an integer of from 1 to 5; and R3 means carboxyl group, a lower alkoxycarbonyl group or hydroxymethyl group.

摘要: An air-conditioning system alternately produces a cooled air stratum and a heated air stratum as viewed from an air outlet opening, and the guide length a1 of a first guide wall is set from 0.05 time or more to 0.5 times or less than the length L1. The guide length a2 of a second guide wall is set from 0.05 time or more to 0.5 times or less than the length L2. Consequently if the air mixing chamber has a small capacity (the length parallel to the direction of air flow), it is possible to mix the heated air and the cooled air sufficiently.
