Abstract:
There is a data communication apparatus having a transmitting section to divide data into a plurality of units and transmit the data and a memory section to store the data. This apparatus reads out the data of the designated unit from the memory section in response to a retransmission request signal from the reception side and a signal indicative of the designated unit and then retransmits the readout data from the transmitting section. Thus, even if the transmission error occurs the data can be retransmitted from the corresponding line and the retransmission is efficiently executed.

A nitride semiconductor substrate includes a front surface, a rear surface on an opposite side to the front surface, and a first edge portion including a chamfered edge on the front surface. A ratio of an average surface roughness of the front surface to an average surface roughness of the first edge portion is not more than 0.01.
Abstract:
A group III nitride semiconductor composite substrate includes a substrate composed of a conductive material having a melting point of not less than 100° C., a group III nitride layer provided on the substrate, and a group III nitride single crystal film provided on the group III nitride layer. The group III nitride layer includes an undulation including a periodic roughness in a surface of the group III nitride layer contacted with the group III nitride single crystal film. The undulation includes a 1-dimensional power spectral density of less than 500 nm3 in the spatial wavelength region of not less than 0.1 (/μm) and less than 1 (/μm).
Abstract:
A multi-function apparatus having a wider variety of uses and easily employed when carrying a USB cable only without having a power source cord. The apparatus includes means for detecting a connection between the USB interface and the PC, means for detecting a connection to the power line, and control means for selecting a function depending on a detected state of the connection between the USB interface and PC and a detected state of the connection to the AC power line. All the functions in the multi-function apparatus are operable in a connected state of the AC power line to the AC power source, while even in an unconnected state of the AC power line to the AC power source, if the USB interface is connected to the PC, a possible operation is enabled using electric power of 5 V at 500 mA supplied from the PC.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a communication apparatus designed to assure the execution of ring type multi-address data transmission. In order to ensure that a user see a received image, transfer to a next station is not carried out until the received image is printed out. With the passage of specified time after the reception of the image, transfer is executed to the next station.
Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to transmit an image, which has been captured as by a digital camera, in the form of a file by facsimile communication. To this end, if an X bit of a FIF (Facsimile Information Field) from a receiving machine is ON, the facsimile apparatus judges that the receiving machine has functions for JPEG-receiving in sYCC color space and for receiving an image that has been captured by a digital camera and stored on a memory card. If transmission of image files on a memory card has been specified, those image files are transmitted successively when the X bit of the FIF from the receiving machine is ON. Even if there is a main-scan pixel-number change or a color-monochrome change, a PPS-MPS signal is transmitted and the individual image files are transmitted.
Abstract:
In facsimile-communicating an original when the Internet selection state in an operation unit is set to “automatic selection”, the original is communicated by selecting the e-mail-based Internet for an A4 original size, and the session-based Internet for a B4 or A3 original size. At the same time, the original information is transmitted in accordance with the transmission mode of its own apparatus, the encoding method determined based on the reception capability of a facsimile apparatus at a reception destination, and the receiving-side output original size and resolution.
Abstract:
A nitride semiconductor free-standing substrate formed of a free-standing nitride-based compound semiconductor crystal that has a variation in lattice constant of ±12 ppm or less.
Abstract:
In a pre-procedure in an image communication method, a receiver notifies a transmitter as to whether a capability of receiving JPEG-encoded information is provided, whether a capability of receiving full-color information in Lab color space is provided, whether a capability of receiving full-color information in sYCC color space is provided, and whether a capability of receiving non-regular-sized information in sYCC color space is provided. Furthermore, the transmitter notifies the receiver as to designation of transmission of JPEG-encoded data, designation of transmission of full-color information in Lab color space, designation of transmission of full-color information in sYCC color space, and designation of transmission of non-regular-sized information in sYCC color space. An upper limit of information amount of non-regular-sized information in a main scanning direction is determined based on a maximum receivable sheet size and resolution of full-color information in Lab color space.
