    摘要: A frame receiving unit calculates the number of a frame to be compressed and gets an image data from the frame. A frame checking unit checks the type of the frame and allocates required code memory. When the frame is an I frame, a frequency conversion unit converts the image to a spatial frequency, a quantization unit quantizes the spatial frequency, and a variable-length coding unit performs variable-length coding. At the same time, a reverse quantization unit performs reverse-quantization and a reverse frequency conversion unit performs reverse-conversion to create a reference image. When the frame is a P frame, a motion search unit searches for a motion of the image. The frequency conversion unit converts a difference between the image and the reference image to the spatial frequency, the quantization unit performs quantization, and the variable-length coding unit performs variable-length coding. At the same time, the reverse quantization unit performs reverse-quantization, the reverse frequency conversion unit performs reverse frequency conversion to return the reverse conversion result to the difference of the images, and a motion compensation unit combines the result with a motion-compensated reference image. When the frame is a B frame, a code indicating that the frame is the same as the reference frame is generated. The generated code is output to the allocated code memory.

    摘要: In a sound-picture synchronous compression device, the picture compression process is performed on a designated amount of picture codes. Then, a necessary amount of sound codes is calculated on the basis of a time of the picture compression process and is subjected to sound compression process. Consequently, compressed picture codes and compressed sound codes are transmitted to a sound-picture synchronous reproduction device. Herein, the picture reproduction process is performed on a designated amount of the compressed picture codes. Then, a necessary amount of the compressed sound codes is calculated on the basis of a time of the picture reproduction process and is subjected to sound reproduction process. Thus, the device reproduces the picture codes and sound codes, based on which pictures and sounds are output by the monitor and speaker respectively. The switching between the sound processing and picture processing in compression and reproduction is made with a reduced overhead, while the switching is performed in such a way that the sound processing does not break off. Incidentally, the picture codes correspond to a number of macro blocks while the sound codes correspond to a number of AAUs.

    摘要: A picture compressing apparatus compresses pictures which are classified into three types of pictures. They are an I picture that is intra-frame coded, a P picture that is forward inter-frame coded, and a B picture that is forward/backward inter-frame coded. An apparatus controlling device checks the ID of existing CPU 2 and the CPU ID of program currently created and determines whether or not they match. When the determined result is No, the apparatus controlling device extracts a compressed code of basic modules and differential modules corresponding to the existing CPU. With reference to a code table 17, a decoder decodes the compressed codes to generate an optimun program for the existing CPU. The picture reproducing apparatus performs the similar process to that of the picture compressing apparatus.
