    摘要: An ink jet head for a printer wherein an ink drop is ejected from a nozzle to fly and land on the recording paper to form an image. The ink jet head includes the nozzle for ejecting ink, an ink channel that communicates with the nozzle, a pair of oscillating plates that are opposing to each other on walls of the ink channel, a pair of electrodes disposed in contact with the oscillating plates, an ink chamber for holding the ink, and an inlet for supplying the ink from the ink chamber to the ink channel. A gap between the electrodes is filled with the ink having a relative dielectric constant higher than air. A voltage is applied between the electrodes.

Because the mounted portion is constrained from deformation, the piezo-electric actuator deforms in a bending manner upon application of a bias. The actuator is provided with a mirror surface for selective reflection of an incident light beam in accordance with a bending deformation of the actuator. The actuator can also modulate a light beam by selectably deflecting into the light path to thereby block the light beam.

    摘要: An inkjet printing head is provided with an ink chamber forming member constructed of a ceiling plate and a glass thin plate which are made from identical photosensitive glass material. A plurality of groove-shaped recess are formed in parallel and at a regular pitch on one surface of the ceiling plate. The glass thin plate is integrally connected by heat treatment to a recess portion formation surface of the ceiling plate. With this arrangement, the inside of each of the recess covered with the glass thin plate serves as an ink chamber. In a manufacturing method of the ink chamber forming member, a photosensitive glass is coated to predetermined thickness on a support body. Subsequently, the photosensitive glass is subjected to pattern exposure via a mask plate. Through this process, the ultraviolet ray is applied to a portion which belongs to the photosensitive glass and corresponds to an area which is not masked, so that glass crystallization progresses only in this portion and a solubility to acid is developed. Then, the exposed photosensitive glass and the support body are immersed in an aqueous solution for chemical etching. Through this process, the exposed portion is melted to a specified depth, so that the plurality of recesses which serve as the ink chambers are formed. Subsequently, the photosensitive glass is crystallized through a heat treatment process for baking it, thereby obtaining the ceiling plate. Next, the ceiling plate is superposed on the glass thin plate, and the whole body is baked. Through this heat treatment, the ceiling plate and the glass thin plate are fused to be integrated into a body.

Drop size control over a range of selectable drop sizes as well as drop size uniformity are regulated by controlling the voltage pulse shape applied to the piezoelectric element.     摘要: An inkjet recording head having a head main unit that includes a substrate, a vibration plate, a partition and a top plate, which are integrally assembled as a single unit, a first reinforcing plate fixed to the substrate, and a second reinforcing plate fixed to the top plate. The vibration plate is made of a piezoelectric material. The partition affixed to the vibration plate comprises a thin metal or synthetic resin film. The top plate affixed to the partition has multiple groove-shaped concave areas, which are used as ink cavities, on its surface facing the partition. The first reinforcing plate and the second reinforcing plate are fixed on either side of the head main unit and sandwich the head main unit for reinforcing the substrate and the top plate. Thus, when the piezoelectric members are deformed, accompanying deformation of neighboring piezoelectric members via the substrate or accompanying deformation of the top plate can be mostly prevented and crosstalk can be reduced to a level at which it does not negatively affect image quality.
