摘要: A check service provider enables users to make and receive payments from a financial account via a mobile electronic device, such as a smartphone or tablet computer. The device includes a check module and a camera. A user can capture an image of a check using the camera and the check module deciphers information, such as an account number, bank routing number, and information regarding the account holder, from the image of the check. The user can then make payments from and receive payments into the financial account associated with the imaged check via the check module without having the physically write or deposit a check. The check service provider interacts with the ACH to settle payments directly between the user's accounts without handling the money. Users can be notified of pending payments via text, voice, and e-mail messaging.

摘要: A method, system, and computer-readable medium is described for facilitating interactions between software programs by providing a reliable data queuing service that enables the programs to store and retrieve elements of data queues. In some situations, the data queuing service is provided to users who purchase usage of the data queuing service for application programs executed by or otherwise affiliated with the users. In addition, accessibility of the data queuing service to remote executing programs may be enhanced via a defined API of the data queuing service, such as a Web services-based API. Availability of the data queuing service may also be enhanced in some situations by using multiple alternative distributed systems for a data queue such that each of the alternative systems stores a subset of the elements of the data queue.

摘要: The access terminal is configured to wirelessly send to a data system a request that the data system assign an access terminal identifier (ATI) to the access terminal. The access terminal delays transmission of the request until after a user of the access terminal has employed the access terminal to request a packet data service from the data system. In some instances, the data system is an Evolution, Data Only (EV-DO) system and the access terminal identifier (ATI) is a Unicast Access Terminal Identifier (UATI) generated by the Evolution, Data Only (EV-DO) system.

摘要: An approach to determine the service demand of various resources of any individual server (present in a cluster of servers), given the overall transaction throughput and utilization values of these resources, in case of a network load balanced scenario is disclosed. The method proposes a quantitative approach to calculate the transaction throughput of each network load balanced server from the overall transaction throughput, obtained from any commercial performance testing tool. The individual transaction throughputs are calculated using monitored values of network related performance counters of each server and the load balancer obtained from performance testing. Service demands of the resource can be computed using the Utilization law of Queuing Theory once the throughput of that server and utilization of that resource is obtained.

摘要: A system for restoring blood flow through an occluded vessel in the cerebrovasculature is disclosed. The system includes a tubular element constructed of shape memory material eccentrically mounted on the distal end of an introducer. The walls of the tubular element are defined by standards and connectors, and the standards are oriented at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the tubular element. A method of manufacture of the system includes cutting a tube of shape memory material, conferring a twist on the cut tube, and heat setting the tube. The method further includes affixing the shape set tube to an introducer. A method of treatment using the system is also described.

摘要: A storage management application of a storage array is operable to create a new volume on the storage device array, and to automatically configure, responsive to user selection of an application protection profile, data protection services for application data to be stored on the volume, and/or, responsive to user selection of an application performance profile, application specific performance parameters. The application protection profile specifies scheduling and replication of snapshots for application data to be stored on the volume, and the application performance profile specifies performance parameters such as setting a block size, enabling or modifying a data caching algorithm, turning on or modifying data compression, etc. The scheduling, replication and/or application performance may be managed by a daemon associated with the storage management application which communicates with an agent associated with an application server on which the application executes.
