    摘要: Aqueous dispersion comprising cerium oxide and silicon dioxide, obtainable by first mixing a cerium oxide starting dispersion and a silicon dioxide starting dispersion while stirring, and then dispersing at a shear rate of 10000 to 30000 s−1, wherein a) the cerium oxide starting dispersion—contains 0.5 to 30% by weight of cerium oxide particles as the solid phase, —a d5o of the particle size distribution of 10 to 100 nm—and has a pH of 1 to 7, and b) the silicon dioxide starting dispersion—contains 0.1 to 30% by weight of colloidal silicon dioxide particles as the solid phase, has a d5o of the particle size distribution of 3 to 50 nm and has a pH of 6 to 11.5, d) with the proviso that the d5o of the particle size distribution of the cerium oxide particles is greater than that of the silicon dioxide particles, the cerium oxide/silicon dioxide weight ratio is >1 and the amount of cerium oxide starting dispersion is such that the zeta potential of the dispersion is negative.

    摘要: Dispersion of zirconium dioxide having a solids content of from 30 to 75 wt. %, based on the total amount of the dispersion, and a median value of the particle size distribution in the dispersion of less than 200 nm, obtainable by predispersing a zirconium dioxide powder and/or a zirconium mixed oxide powder having a ZrC>2 content of at least 70 wt. %, the powders being in the form of aggregated primary particles and having no internal surface and a BET surface area of the powder of 60±15 m2/g, in a dispersing agent in the presence of from 0.1 to 5 wt. %, based on the total amount of the dispersion, of a surface-modifying agent with an energy input of less than 200 KJ/m3, dividing the predispersion obtained into at least two part streams, placing these part streams under a pressure of at least 500 bar in a high-energy mill and decompress them via a nozzle, these part streams colliding with one another in a gas- or liquid-filled reaction chamber and thereby being ground, and optionally subsequently adjusting the dispersion to the desired content with further dispersing agent. It can be used for the production of ceramic layers, membranes and shaped articles.

    摘要: Process for preparing ultrafine powders based on polyamides by contacting polyamides having a relative solution viscosity ηrel in the range from 1.5 to 2.0, measured in 0.5% m-cresol solution at 25° C., with an alcoholic medium in the presence of inorganic particles under the action of pressure and/or temperature to generate an at least partial solution, and then precipitating the polyamide from the at least partial solution, characterized in that a suspension of the inorganic particles suspended in the alcoholic medium is used. The resulting ultrafine polyamide powders have a specific BET surface area in the range of 5-100 m2/g; a fineness d50 of less than 70 μm; an apparent density AD in the range from 250 to 1000 g/l; and a particle content of 0.1 to 80% by weight of inorganic particles based on the total weight of the polyamide powder. They are equally suitable for coatings and for mouldings and components with improved mechanical properties.
