The metal hydroxide is surface-treated, and Na2O (w-Na2O) present on a surface of grains of the metal hydroxide is 0.1 mass % or less based on the total mass of the metal hydroxide. Preferably, the injection molded object contains an aliphatic polyester other than the lactic acid based resin or an aromatic-aliphatic polyester in a ratio of 20 to 80 mass parts per 100 mass parts of the lactic acid based resin.

    摘要: This invention provides a novel method of culturing mesenchymal stem cells whereby a remarkably larger number of mesenchymal stem cells can be obtained compared with the conventional culture methods. This culture method is characterized by adding to a medium a fibroblast growth factor (FGF) as a substance which stimulates the proliferation potency of the mesenchymal stem cells while retaining the pluripotency thereof and prolongs the life. According to the method, mesenchymal stem cells can be cultured at least over 30 generations and, moreover, about 105 to 106 times as much as cell count in the conventional culture methods can be obtained.

    摘要: An air flow rate measuring device for measuring intake air flow rate in an automotive engine, improved to reduce any error attributable to variation in the configurations of air cleaner and/or duct forming air passage upstream of the flow rate measuring device, thus offering high accuracy of the flow rate measurement. In one aspect of the invention, the inlet opening of a sub-air passage is disposed to contain the axis of a main air passage, while the outlet opening of the sub-air passage is disposed in the vicinity of a wall defining the main air passage. In order to cause a local reduction of the pressure of the principal of the air flow at the outlet opening, a protrusion or a flat surface which causes impediment to the flow if air in the main air passage is provided immediately upstream of the outlet opening. In another aspect, the inlet surface in which the inlet of the sub-air passage opens is stepped in the direction of flow of the air so as to enable air to be introduced into air flow rate measuring portion in the sub-air passage from different regions in the main air passage while giving a preselected order of preference to these different regions.

    摘要: A filtering system is disclosed for effectively filtering the water of aquariums for tropical or salt-water fish, the water of fish-farming ponds, and/or any other type of fish-farming water. The system includes a filtration tank partitioned into a storage chamber, a filtration chamber, and a discharge chamber, and the fish-farming water is successively passed through the storage and filtration chambers so as to be purified, and is discharged along the water surface by means of a discharge mechanism within the discharge chamber. A lift pipe is provided at one end of the storage chamber, and filters and vacancies are alternately arranged in a parallel manner within the filtration chamber, with an open spaced defined thereabove. The water level of the filtration tank is maintained lower than the top of the filters, and the filter layers may be sets of two water-passing plates, such as, for example, multipore plates, net-type plates, or the like, with the filter medium, such as, for example, glass wool, sand, or the like, packed therebetween or attached thereto. The discharge chamber is equipped with a discharge pipe which has an opening directed along the surface of the water, and in this manner, the fish-farming water is prepurified in the storage chamber, further purified in the filtration chamber, and discharged along the water surface so as to be uniformly circulated in an installation for fish-farming. The water is constantly maintained in an aerobic state and an extremely high purification efficiency is obtained.
