    摘要: Apparatus is provided for a reversible connection catheter comprising in combination a hub and a valve housing portion. The hub is composed of a tapered molded body having a narrow tapered end and an enlarged other end. The narrow tapered end has integrated therein a double lumen catheter projecting therefrom. Two bores extend through the hub each communicating with a distinctive lumen in the catheter. The valve housing portion is composed of a distal segment with two spaced through first openings, a proximal segment with two spaced through second openings and a resilient gasket portion with two spaced first female luers mounted between the proximal and distal segments. The valve housing further has a third opening in said proximal segment positioned between the first and second openings and a second female luer on the resilient gasket portion in alignment with said third opening to serve as a flushing valve. A structural member operatively holds the hub and valve housing portion together. A stopcock may be interposed and held between the hub and the valve housing portion.

    摘要: A connector has a first member with a distal portion non-removably coupled to a proximal portion of a second member. Respective through passages at the first and second members are in alignment to establish a through channel longitudinally along the connector. A seal in the connector prevents fluid leakage from the connector. A conventional fitting may be provided at one of the ends and a non-conventional fitting may be provided at the other end of the connector so that the connector may connect a device with a conventional fitting to a device with a non-conventional fitting. Once connected to the connector, the device with the conventional fitting is not removable from the connector. The first and second members are rotatable relative to each other about the longitudinal axis of the connector to enable rotational alignment of devices connected to the connector.

    摘要: A connector for transferring a fluid includes a first connector and a second connector. Each connector includes a first outer portion including a first obstructive portion and defining a first fluid passageway for receiving a fluid therein. Each connector further includes a first central nozzle coupled to the first outer portion. The central nozzle includes a first engagement member. The first central nozzle is movable between a first position and a second position with rotation of the first outer portion. In the first position, the first obstructive portion and the first engagement portion substantially overlap to impede fluid flow through the first fluid passageway. In the second position, at least one of the first engagement member and the first obstructive member is displaced to allow fluid flow through the first fluid passageway.

    摘要: An adapter connector includes a housing shroud that is fitted at one end with a core and at its other end with an inner shroud. A catch hub is provided within the housing shroud for non-removably maintaining the core to the housing shroud. The core is rotatable relative to the housing shroud. The inner shroud has a catch mechanism that enables it to mate readily with a connector, if the connector is rotated in one direction. The catch mechanism is further configured to allow the connector to be removed if it were to be turned in a counter rotational direction. The connecting portion of the inner shroud is configured to accept a complementary connector. The connecting portion of the core likewise is configured to accept a complementary connector of the medication providing device.
