摘要: A suspension system for a vehicle (50c) having a body (52c) and a plurality of wheel support assemblies (56c, 58c) includes a tie structure (60c) interposed between the body and the wheel support assemblies. A first interconnection system (68c) interconnects the tie structure to the wheel support assemblies, and the second interconnection system (302) interconnects the tie structure and the body. The second interconnection system includes a plurality of link structures (304, 320) pivotally connected at one end to the tie structure, and pivotally connected at the opposite end to the body. Such link structures are oriented relative to the tie structure to extend towards a common point along a longitudinal axis (33B) of the tie structure.

摘要: A deformation element having a single or multi-chamber hollow section with a longitudinal axis to accommodate energy of impact acting in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the section. The deformation element contains outer section walls that form inner and outer section wall faces. The outer section walls are divided into section wall end lengths and lengths and section wall intermediate lengths, whereby the abutting section wall end length of a pair of outer section walls form corner regions with corners. The wall thicknesses of the section wall end lengths are greater than the wall thickness of the section wall lengths neighboring the section wall end lengths, with the result that a thickening of the section wall is provided in the corner region.

摘要: A device (10) for a stringed instrument comprising at least one moveable support having a top surface which is adapted to abut a string between its fixed ends and is able to be moved to abut the string at a different position to thereby create a sound of a different frequency when the string is vibrated. Also disclosed are: a method for controlling polarisation of electromagnetic radiation; a device for receiving and transferring visible light comprising an array of coupled lenses separated by barrier means; a method of searching data on the Internet; a system for compressing data and a method of modelling data particularly spoken sound (compressing data by modelling part of the data and adding additional information to create the original or near original data); a device for processing data; the protection of vehicles involved in accidents; the precise movement of objects by a magnetic field within a body.

摘要: A vehicle bumper assembly is provided having an energy absorber, a bracket, a step pad and a bumper fascia. The energy absorber includes an upper horizontal surface wherein the upper horizontal surface may define a deformable structure. The deformable structure may be in the form of flexible fins. The bracket may be mounted to the vehicle frame on a first end of the bracket and the energy absorber affixed to a second end of the bracket. The step pad may be affixed to the energy absorber. The bumper fascia may be affixed to either or both the step pad and the energy absorber.

摘要: A bumper assembly includes an elongated beam and a pair of crush cans. The elongated beam includes a plurality of reinforcing walls extending horizontally that define a gap in a central portion of the beam. The pair of crush can assemblies is attached to the beam at transversely spaced locations relative to the central portion of the beam. The central portion of the beam is structured to have less bending resistance than the right and left sides. The reinforcing walls span the crush can assemblies so that the gap facilitates bending the central portion of the beam. A method of making a bumper is also disclosed that includes the steps of selecting a bumper beam and partially removing an upper/central portion and a lower/central portion of the bumper beam.

摘要: A vehicle bumper reinforcement structure to increase energy absorption capacity is provided. The vehicle bumper reinforcement structure comprises a base member extending in the width direction of the vehicle that is attached to the vehicle at both width ends, and a first reinforcement member and a second reinforcement member attached to the base member at a width center of the vehicle. Widths of the reinforcement members are differentiated in such a manner to cause fracture of the base member at width ends of the reinforcement members by a predetermined collision impact applied to the width center of the base member.
