    Abstract: The invention relates to a regulating valve, which is attachable, in particular in a bore of a hydraulic door closer, executed with a female thread. The regulating valve has a body, adjoined by a regulating area, and a thread provided with an anti-rotation means. The thread with the anti-rotation element can be screwed into the female thread of the bore of the hydraulic door closer. In order to provide a regulating valve with a simple design while excluding unwanted adjustment of the regulating valve during the operation, the anti-rotation means includes a raised area, which can cooperate with the bore or the female thread of the door closer.

    Abstract: A door closing device (10) for an automatic closing of a door leaf (B) coupled with a floor and/or a doorpost (S) so as to swing. The door closing device (10) comprises a fixed unit (12) that is fixed on the floor and/or the doorpost (S), a translating unit (14) and a rotating unit (16) on which the door leaf (B) is fixed.     Abstract: A hinge device prevents breakage of a structuring part from an increase in an internal pressure during overload. In the hinge device, first and second members are rotatable relative to each other. A case is fixed to either the first or second member, and a shaft body capable of rotating relative to the case is fixed to the other. A first chamber and a second chamber formed between the case and the shaft body are filled with viscous fluid. An orifice between the first and second chambers narrows a flow path for the viscous fluid moving from the first to second chamber, resisting rotation of the shaft body. A space region is provided in the shaft body, with a valve body movably placed therein. When pressure of the first chamber reaches a predetermined level, the valve body moves in the space region to increase the volume of the first chamber.

    Abstract: A door closer (20) is attachable to a door (24) and is formed with a chamber (44) in which a piston element (50) is movable to move fluid from the chamber to a reservoir (82) upon opening of the door. After the door (24) has been opened to a position, for example, of sixty to seventy-five degrees, continued opening of the door causes the fluid to be compressed within the chamber (44) and to be directed only through a back check valve (95) to the reservoir (82). This results in the development of an adjustable "back check" condition to provide a counterforce to the continued opening of the door. The adjustable valve (95) includes a spring biased ball (144), the biasing of which must be overcome by the force of the fluid being compressed in the chamber (44) to allow for fluid to pass through the valve to the reservoir (82).The chamber (44) is formed partially by a spring tube (38) having slots (192) formed in the interior wall thereof which extends radially beyond convolutions of spring (52) contained within the tube. The slots (192) allow the fluid, and gas bubbles entrapped therein, to be moved beyond the convolutions of the spring (52) and to be moved unimpeded into the reservoir (82). Otherwise, the gas bubbles would be trapped in the chamber (44) and would deleteriously affect the operation of the door closer (20).
