Abstract:
The present invention provides a pressure shell formed by winding reinforcement fibers with resin material for hardening on an outer surface of a hollow tank base body, a high-pressure tank having the pressure shell, a manufacturing method of the high-pressure tank, and an apparatus for manufacturing the high-pressure tank. The pressure shell adopts the laminated structure in which a large number of fiber layers each formed by winding the reinforcement fibers around the tank base body are laminated. In a state the inside of the high-pressure tank is emptied, a compressive stress is applied to a lower fiber layer and a tensile stress is applied to an upper fiber layer. Particularly, in winding the reinforcement fibers around the tank base body, the reinforcement fibers are wound while filling fluid for pressure regulation in the tank base body, regulating a pressure applied to the fluid for pressure regulation, and adjusting a tension applied to the reinforcement fibers.
Abstract:
A vertical fuel tank support system for efficiently supporting a vertical propane tank above the ground. The vertical fuel tank support system generally includes a support pad including an internal cavity, wherein the internal cavity extends throughout the support pad, an inner platform defining a first portion of an upper surface of the elongated support pad, wherein the inner platform is comprised of circular configuration, an outer platform defining a second portion of an upper surface of the elongated support pad, wherein the outer platform is comprised of circular configuration and an internal ribbing structure extending within the internal cavity and beneath the inner platform and the outer platform. The internal ribbing structure includes a first ribbing portion and a second ribbing portion, wherein the first ribbing portion interconnects with the second ribbing portion. The first ribbing portion extends across the inner platform and the outer platform and wherein the second ribbing portion extends solely around the outer platform.
Abstract:
An apparatus for remote inspection of fire extinguishers at one or a system of fire extinguisher stations includes, e.g., at each fire extinguisher station: a detector for lack of presence of a fire extinguisher in its installed position at the fire extinguisher station; a detector for out-of-range pressure of contents of the fire extinguisher at the fire extinguisher station; a detector for an obstruction to viewing of or access to the fire extinguisher at the fire extinguisher station; and a device for transmission of inspection report information from the fire extinguisher station to a remote central station.
Abstract:
The present invention comprises a tank for liquefied gases or a so-called cryogenic tank (1) with a tank bottom structure (10) and a tank wall structure (11) arranged around a circumference of the tank bottom structure (10). The tank bottom structure (10) is provided with a tank bottom hub (2) adapted for being held by a bottom hub retainer (20) on a tank support structural floor (23). The tank is simple to install, cheap in production and handles in an improved manner forces acting upon it.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a supplying type partial gas pressure structure, and more particularly to an unlimited supplying type partial gas pressure structure that contains a cylinder rack, whereas a multiple of supplying cylinders connected in series are installed on the cylinder rack; a transportation pipe with one end connected to the multiple supplying cylinders and the other end connected to a mixing processing cylinder and a converter in parallel; and another transportation pipe.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a low-carbon steel member. The low-carbon steel member yields plastically more than about 5% before fracturing at temperatures down to about −40° C. when stress is applied to the low-carbon steel member sufficient to cause the low-carbon steel member to so yield.
Abstract:
A pressure regulator, comprising a pressure regulating mechanism and a connector. A supply connecting tool (3) supplying a pressurized fluid to a body part (11) with the built-in pressure regulating mechanism (5) is connected to the connector (2) to secure excellent pressure regulating function by preventing the pressure regulating function from being affected by the connecting operation of the connecting tool and supply a fluid to stop the reverse flow of fluid caused by the attaching/detaching operations of the connecting tool. The connector (2) comprises a link member (544) openably operating a valve mechanism (6) according to the connecting operation of the supply connecting tool (3). The pressure regulating mechanism (5) comprises a pressure regulating valve (55) operated according to the deviation of a diaphragm (52) to regulate the pressurized fluid to a secondary pressure. The link member (544) is formed separately from the pressure regulating valve (55). Two reverse flow prevention valves (56) and (57) stopping the reverse flow of fluid are installed on the inside and outside of the pressure regulating valve (55).
Abstract:
A container (1) having a first compartment (3) and a second compartment (5) separated by a movable gas impermeable partition (7) is used for storing and dispensing a gas for use in a process and receiving and storing a gas recovered from the process. Fresh gas is dispensed (9) from the first compartment (3) for use in a process and recovered gas is fed (11) to the second compartment (5), whereby a volume of the second gas displaces a volume of the first gas by movement of the partition (7) to enlarge the second compartment (5) relative to the first compartment (3).
Abstract:
A tubular metal body 1 comprises a tube 2 extruded through a porthole die and composed of a plurality of components 2b joined to one another with a plurality of joint portions 2a extending over the entire length of the tube. The base material metal of the extruded tube 2 in each of the joint portions 2a is subjected to a modifying treatment to produce finely divided crystal grains. The modifying treatment for the extruded tube 2 is conducted preferably by frictionally agitating each joint portion using a probe 8 of a friction agitation joining tool 6. The tubular metal body 1 is available with an increased length in a larger size and has high pressure resistance.
