    摘要: A process for forming interconnection lines on a printed circuit board is described. The surface of a circuit board substrate is covered with a photoresist layer, and the photoresist layer in turn is covered with a halide emulsion layer. The emulsion layer is then exposed to a predetermined pattern of white light, and the image developed. The board is then exposed to UV light through the imaged emulsion layer which acts as a pattern masking selected portions of the photoresist mask. The emulsion layer is then stripped and the photoresist processed in conventional manner.

    摘要: A lithographic printing plate precursor and process for its utilization have been discovered through which negative and positive original images can be printably reproduced on the plate precursor in substantially fewer development steps. The precursor plate is exposed sequentially to either the negative or positive original with the resultant image subsequently developable in a single process or step. The process is achieved by using a precursor plate having two coatings of significantly different photographic sensitivity to light, i.e., speed as characterized by "camera speed" or "contact speed" and imagewise exposing the originals in sequence to alternative speeds. The contact speed coating may be negative-working or positive working while the camera speed coating is negative-working. The camera speed coating is developed followed by exposure of the contact speed coating. Images produced at camera speed are removed and non-image bearing portions of the contact speed coating are removed. The remaining image areas corresponding to the negative and positive originals are treated to provide positive printable images.

    摘要: Disclosed is a chromatic proofreading film which may be conveniently used for the process of ascertaining the color quality in multi-color printing by overlaying color picture images produced from the corresponding color separated picture images. The chromatic proofreading film of this invention has two photosensitive layers, the outer one consisting of a silver halide photosensitive material and the inner one consisting of a non silver salt photosensitive material such as diazo or azide resin, and the inner photosensitive layer is divided into a plurality of regions dyed to different basic colors so that the chromatic proofreading film may be cut apart into a plurality of separate sheets which may be overlaid for the purpose of chromatic proofreading after the film is photographically developed.

    摘要: An imaging film, and a method of making it, comprising a flexible plastic substrate having a thin, high optical density, continuous layer of bismuth, or an alloy of bismuth, deposited on a surface thereof. The bismuth layer has a roughened outer surface. To this roughened surface a layer of a photoactive material is applied which serves as a photoresist as well as a protective overlayer for the bismuth. The photoactive material may be positive or negative working. A layer of a developable photographic emulsion may be applied to the photoactive material layer to impart camera speed to the imaging film. The photoresist side of the film has a non-shiny, essentially non-reflecting black surface which resembles the appearance of developed silver halide films. The substrate side of the film, on the other hand, has a metallic appearance which is easily distinguishable from the photoresist side. This feature of the film enables an operator to readily ascertain the photoresist side of the film and speeds plate making.

    摘要: A photosensitive printing plate with high sensitivity comprising a support having a hydrophilic surface and formed in succession thereon (1) a layer of an oleophilic photosensitive resin composition whose solubility in a solvent is changed by exposure to light to which the resin composition layer is sensitive and (2) directly on the layer (1) a layer containing a dispersion of particles of photosensitive silver halide grains coated with a water-soluble polymer in an oleophilic polymer capable of being dissolved in a developer for the photosensitive resin composition.The photosensitive printing plate is first image-wise exposed to light to which only the layer containing the silver halide is sensitive followed by silver halide development with an aqueous developer solution to form a silver image, subjected then to overall exposure using light to which the layer of the photosensitive resin composition is sensitive, and developed with a developer which dissolves the oleophilic polymer in the layer containing the silver halide and only one of either the exposed portions or the unexposed portions of the layer of the photosensitive resin composition.
