    Abstract: A tyre for a vehicle wheel includes a toroidal carcass, a tread band, and a belt structure. The carcass includes a central crown portion and two axially opposite sidewalls. The axially opposite sidewalls end in a pair of beads for mounting the tyre on a corresponding rim. Each bead includes at least one annular reinforcing core. The tread band is disposed at the central crown portion of the carcass, coaxially extends about the carcass, and includes a relief pattern for rolling contact with the ground. The belt structure is coaxially interposed between the carcass and the tread band. The carcass further includes at least one carcass ply. Ends of the at least one carcass ply are anchored to the annular reinforcing cores. The at least one carcass ply includes a portion that encloses at least one insert in proximity to the annular reinforcing cores.

    Abstract: A pneumatic radial tire comprises a radial carcass extending between a pair of bead portions each including two bead cores therein and reinforcing a pair of sidewall portions and a tread portion, wherein the radial carcass is comprised of a rubberized ply of a continuous cord successively repeating round trip in at least one of the two bead cores as a pair between the pair of the bead portions along a circumference of the bead portion and a roundtrip return portion of the cord is existent in both the bead portions. In this case, at least one of the two bead cores has such a structure that one or more steel wires are arranged lengthwise and widthwise in radial and widthwise directions of the tire, and the cord of the carcass ply has a roundtrip return portion located through a side face of the bead core having the above structure so as to cover at least an innermost steel wire arrangement in the radial direction from an inner side in the radial direction of the tire.

    Abstract: A tyre for a vehicle wheel includes a carcass structure, belt structure, tread band, and at least one pair of sidewalls. The carcass structure includes at least one first carcass ply and at least two annular reinforcing structures. The at least one first carcass ply includes elongated sections circumferentially distributed around the tyre's geometric rotation axis. Each elongated section extends in a U-shaped configuration around a cross-section outline of the carcass structure to define two side portions and one crown portion. Each elongated section substantially lies in a plane parallelly offset relative to a meridian plane of the carcass structure. The crown portion of each elongated section is oriented, relative to a radial reference plane passing through a transition region between the crown portion and at least one corresponding side portion, at an angle having a different value from an inclination of the at least one corresponding side portion.

    Abstract: An aircraft tire 10 has at least one circumferentially extending reinforcement insert. At least one reinforcement insert 90 is located on one side of the tire. Each insert 90 preferably has two cord reinforced members 91,92 having bias angled cords. The cords are equal but opposite in orientation relative to the cords of the adjacent member. The pairs of reinforced members 91,92 extend from the bead portion 18,20 and terminate in a radially upper portion of the sidewall 14A,16A. Each pair of reinforced members 91,92 is interposed between the carcass plies 36,37,38,39,40,41, and the sidewall of the tire 10. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the inserts 90 are located on only one side of the tire. Alternatively, the inserts can be symmetrically added to each side of the tire.
