The impulse response information representing at least a waveform and a travel time determined after the introduction of the impulse based on reflection thereof. Evaluation information is specified based on the determined impulse response information. The impulse response information is analyzed at least with respect to the represented waveform and travel time of the introduced and reflected electromagnetic wave. The evaluation information is indicative of whether or not the lightning conductor is functional. The determined evaluation information is output. Also disclosed are a device for practicing this method, a rotor blade for a wind turbine that includes at least one lightning conductor and a device for practicing the method, and a system with one or more devices for practicing the method.

摘要: A method for detecting an electric leakage point without interrupting a power supply is provided. The method includes transmitting a unipolar direct current (DC) survey voltage signal to an electric wire of the power supply. The method includes transmitting a chain of electromagnetic wave signals generated around the electric wire to synchronize a reference time to measure an earth potential of the unipolar DC voltage signal and capture an electromagnetic tracking signal. The method includes tracing a buried route of the electric wire by analyzing the electromagnetic tracking signal according to the reference time. The method includes measuring the earth potential of the unipolar DC voltage signal on the ground according to the reference time. The method includes locating the electric leakage point by identifying a polarity of the unipolar DC voltage signal.

摘要: An abnormal temperature detection system that detects an abnormal temperature in a cable used to transmit power to a electrical device. The abnormal temperature detection system includes first and second conductors that are disposed along a longitudinal axis direction of the cable, and a plurality of temperature-responsive electronic components that are disposed along the longitudinal axis direction of the cable and are electrically connected to the first and second conductors. The first and second conductors and the plurality of temperature-responsive electronic components form an electrical circuit. An abnormal temperature is detected on the basis of an electrical signal acquired from the electrical circuit.

摘要: In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a substrate having a smoothly bending surface to fit into a human hand. The substrate includes a start test switch, a first connector to couple to a first end of a cable, and a second connector to couple to a second end of the cable. The cable has an impedance. The electronic circuit is coupled to the, first connector and the second connector. In operation, the electronic circuit provides a first signal when the first end of the cable is coupled to the first connector and the second end is coupled to the second connector, the start switch is activated, and the impedance is between a minimum impedance value and a maximum impedance value. The electronic circuit provides a second signal when the first end of the cable is coupled to the first connector and the second end is coupled to the second connector, the start switch is activated, and the impedance is greater than the maximum impedance value.

摘要: A method can be used for fault detection of a transmission. The method includes obtaining instantaneous measurements of local voltages and local currents of the transmission line, obtaining filtered measurements of the local voltages and local currents by subjecting the measurements of the local voltages and local currents to low pass filtering, obtaining a compensated voltage calculated by subjecting the filtered measurements to a differential equation based algorithm, and performing fault detection by forming a ratio between the compensated voltage and the a reference voltage. An internal fault is determined when the ratio is below a threshold and an external fault is determined when ratio is larger than above the threshold.

摘要: A cable, an associated monitoring system and methods are provided which monitor the continuity of current of electrical components such as sensor signals from sensors used in connection with a medical apparatus. The cable includes a proximal end for coupling with a processing unit and a distal end with or for coupling to sensors. The processing unit generates a continuity signal that travels through the cable via an inductor coil conductor to a distal end inductor coil which imparts the signal to sensor signal conductors of the cable. The continuity signal is carried back to the processing unit with signals from the sensors. Circuitry of the processing unit can detect the returning continuity signals to indicate proper connectivity of the sensor signals. The connection status information of the sensors can be displayed to inform a doctor or other operator of the medical apparatus of sensor signal continuity.
