The autonomous containment structure (92F, 92R, 56) includes a moveable portion (92F, 92R) that is moved to an actuated position to pressurize the cable seal arrangement (38). The cable sealing device (30) also includes a retention mechanism (129) for retaining the moveable portion (92F, 92R) in the actuated position. The autonomous containment structure (92F, 92R, 56) further includes an autonomous perimeter casing (56) mounted over the sealing arrangement (38) for laterally containing the cable sealing arrangement (38) such that the cable sealing arrangement (38) remains pressurized when the moveable portion (92F, 92R) is in the actuated position independent of whether the cable sealing device (30) is mounted within an enclosure (20). The cable sealing device (30) has a wrap-around configuration for allowing a cable (88, 90) to be laterally inserted into the cable sealing device (30).

    摘要: An improved cable breakout assembly is disclosed for use with a trunk cable and multiple breakout wires, or cables exiting from the trunk cable. A protective housing has a series of cable cradles, each of which accommodates a cable or wire in the cable transition area. The cable cradles have inwardly facing stop surfaces and stop members are applied to the exterior surfaces of the cables proximate to the cable cradles. The stop members encircle the cables and define a shoulder or stop surface in opposition to the stop surfaces of the cable cradles. The two stop surfaces confront each other and prevent movement of the cables out of the housing, so to provide an integrated strain relief to the cable transition area.

    摘要: Disclosed is a split conduit for separating line and low voltage wiring, wherein two wire or cable types are supported and do not interfere with one another along the conduit length. The conduit includes a rounded outer wall forming an enclosed cross section, wherein a partition is provided within the interior of the conduit that runs along its length to create a first and second pathway. The outer surface of the conduit is discretely marked based on line or low voltage, allowing a user to distinguish what wire type is in each pathway and to locate the partition without inspecting the wires or looking into the interior of the conduit. The split conduit is adapted to be connected to a split meter socket box having a divider for separating connection types, wherein wires from corresponding conduit chambers can be oriented appropriately to establish electrical connectivity within the meter box.

The panel is placed in a housing having a top opening and a bottom opening, and wire leads are connected to the terminals. A pan member is placed across the bottom opening of the housing, to define a clearance gap between the pan member and the housing. The wire leads are routed through the clearance gap, and the connection terminals are protectively shielded by a sealant material which may be poured into the pan member from outside the panel housing through the defined clearance gap, and allowed to harden.

    摘要: A fiber optic splice closure assembly has two end plate assemblies, and a closure base and a closure cover attached to the end plate assemblies. An adapter is secured within a cable entrance port in the end plate assembly to alter the end plate opening to accommodate a fiber optic cable. The adapter restrains the cable sheath against axial forces and provides a seal between the optical fiber cable, the adapter and the end plate assembly. A bracket assembly is provided to anchor the optical fiber cable strength member to the end plate assembly. The closure provides a mounting bar secured to said end plate assemblies proximate the closure base and a mounting platform secured to the mounting bar.
