摘要: A blind spot warning method is disclosed for a tow vehicle. The method includes determining whether a trailer is connected to the tow vehicle. Based on the determination whether the trailer is connected to the tow vehicle, the determines whether a blind spot zone corresponds to the tow vehicle or to the tow vehicle and the trailer. At least one instruction is sent to a user interface of the tow vehicle for displaying an image for viewing by a driver of the tow vehicle. The displayed image indicates the determination whether the blind spot zone corresponds to the tow vehicle or to the tow vehicle and the trailer, and indicates a presence or absence of at least one other vehicle disposed in the blind spot zone.

摘要: A camera system according to the present exemplary embodiment includes a clipping unit configured to clip, from an image captured by an imaging unit, a side rear area of a vehicle that is a part of the captured image, a display unit configured to display an image of the side rear area of the vehicle, and a detection unit configured to detect an object in a blind spot area of the vehicle that is a part of the captured image and is determined in advance. The clipping unit further clips a clipping area from the captured image so as to include an area where the object is detected. The camera system further includes a generation unit configured to generate a display image based on the side rear area of the vehicle and the clipping area. The display unit further displays the display image.

摘要: A telepresence system for a motor vehicle includes a first telecommunication device arranged on the vehicle for receiving audio and video data from a remote source via a second telecommunication device. The system also includes an audio speaker arranged on the vehicle exterior for reproducing the received audio data and a visual display device facing the vehicle exterior for displaying the video data toward an environment surrounding the vehicle. The system additionally includes a microphone for capturing sound proximate the vehicle and communicating the captured sound to the first telecommunication device. The system further includes a camera for generating an image of the surrounding environment and communicating the generated image to the first telecommunication device. The first telecommunication device is additionally configured to communicate the captured sound and the generated image to the second telecommunication device to thereby establish real-time communication between the surrounding environment and the remote source.

摘要: A blind spot visualization system and method for eliminating blind spots for an operator of a vehicle. The blind spots are caused by obstructions in the vehicle. A first image based on a first frequency range, and a second image based on a second frequency range, is generated. The images of the first frequency range and the images of the second frequency range are combined to create a composite image. Displays on the obstruction, facing the operator, receive the composite image. The displays display the images to the operator so that the blind spots, caused by the obstructions in the vehicle, are eliminated.

摘要: A vehicular vision system includes a plurality of vehicle cameras disposed at a vehicle, a trailer camera disposed at a trailer, and a video display screen disposed at the vehicle and viewable by a driver of the vehicle. When the trailer is hitched to the vehicle, the trailer camera captures image data and provides captured image data to an electronic control unit (ECU). The plurality of vehicle cameras capture image data and provide captured image data to the ECU. An auxiliary camera is detachably attached at an exterior side portion of the trailer. With the auxiliary camera detachably attached at the exterior side portion of the trailer and during a reversing maneuver of the vehicle with the trailer hitched to the vehicle, and responsive to a user input, video images derived from the image data captured by the auxiliary camera are displayed for viewing by the driver of the vehicle.

It also refers to a vehicle with such a rear view system.

The camera module is configured to receive from the mirror module the s-polarized or the p-polarized component of the incident light and selectively display at least one FOV within the interior compartment.
