In order to provide a method for operating the amalgam lamp on this basis, ensuring a high efficiency of UV-C radiation even when dimmed, the invention proposes that the current feedthrough include an outgoing line and a return line for an additional current Iadd, and that the additional current Iadd is adjusted as a function of the level of the actual lamp current Iactual.

    摘要: A fluorescent lamp is configured so that a glass bulb has a phosphor film formed on its internal face, and a rare gas and an amalgam pellet are enclosed therein. The amalgam pellet contains zinc, tin, and mercury as principal components, one amalgam pellet is enclosed in the glass bulb, and the amalgam pellet has a weight of not more than 20 mg. The fluorescent lamp satisfies the relationship expressed as: 45×(1−A)≦x≦55×(1−A), 75A≦y≦85A, 45−30A≦z≦55−30A, and x+y+z≦100, where x represents a content of zinc contained in the amalgam pellet in percent by weight, y represents a content of tin therein in percent by weight, and z represents a content of mercury therein in percent by weight. This configuration allows the fluorescent lamp to be characterized in that an amount of released mercury that is necessary for the first lighting of the fluorescent lamp is secured, and that the phosphor film is less prone to being peeled due to the amalgam.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a lamp tube of a covered bulb, including a lamp body and a core column, with a filament and an exhaust pipe on the core column, characterized in that the exhaust pipe has a bent shape. The lamp tube of the covered bulb of the present invention can reduce the working temperature of the amalgam, and increase the difference between melting temperature and working temperature of the amalgam. Besides, it can also avoid the flow of the melted amalgam when the lamp is on for a long time. It is important that the lamp tube of the covered bulb for the invention can ensure that the amalgam is at the optimum working temperature, the saturated mercury vapor pressure reaches the optimum state, whereby the consistence of photo-electricity parameter will be considerably increased. It can increase the luminous flux maintaining rate for the whole lamp to prolong the service life of the lamp, because the lamp tube of the covered bulb of the invention is often placed downward during use. The amalgam cannot flow towards the lamp tube after it melts. The structure of the exhaust pipe of the lamp will limit the flow of the amalgam. The operation is simple during assembling, easy to learn and the cost is low.
