    摘要: A connector according to the present invention comprises a housing and a plurality of contacts. The housing includes a mating portion having a plate shape. The mating portion projects forward and has an upper surface and a bottom surface. The plurality of contacts is held by the housing. Each of the contacts comprises a contact portion, an end portion and a flat portion. The contact portion extends in a connection direction and is exposed at the upper surface of the mating portion. The end portion is embedded in the mating portion. The flat portion forms a boundary between the contact portion and the end portion and does not projects from the upper surface. The flat portion is able to be viewed from above the upper surface of the mating portion.

In one embodiment, a method of interconnecting multiple devices comprising the steps of stacking a plurality of connectors one above the other, wherein at least the bottom connector is a board mount connector; aligning a first set of terminals in each connector to a second set of terminals in each connector; shielding the signals of the first set of terminals and the signals of the second set of terminals from each other by incorporating a shielding device between the first set of terminals and the second set of terminals; and tapering the terminals at the board mount end of the connectors.

    摘要: A bezel connector for an electronic device in a vehicle, such as a radio, having a removable bezel. The bezel connector has a support member that is removably attached to the radio housing, and along with the other components of the connector form a removable module. The support member supports a PC board, which has connector pins protruding therefrom in spaced relationship. The connector pins are rigid and protrude from the PC board in a cantilever fashion. Also movably supported by the support member is a cover member having an electrically conducting portion. The cover member includes holes aligned with the connector pins to thereby shield and support the connector pins. Grounding springs bias the cover member in a position which selectively shields the connector pins and also provides an electrical connection between the cover member and the radio housing to discharge any static electricity charge that may be imparted to the cover member.

In one example, the device has a conductive portion, an electrical component, and a multiphase plug that is electrically coupled to a neutral conductor and at least two phase conductors. The apparatus includes a receptacle that removably couples to the multiphase plug. A grounding cable removably couples to the conductive portion. A power supply generates power and is in electrical communication with the receptacle to communicate the power to the receptacle. An annunciator is in electrical communication with the power supply and the grounding cable and is configured to generate a response when the receptacle, the multiphase plug, the conductive portion, and the grounding cable are in electrical communication to communicate the power therethrough.

The second-housing has a seal-support surface having a first-surface and a second-surface perpendicular to the first-surface and generally forming an L-shape. The seal-support surface includes a plurality of seal-hangers projecting laterally from the first-surface. The seal is in direct contact with the seal-support surface. The seal defines a wall and a lip extending laterally from the wall. The wall defines an inner-surface that engages the first-surface and an outer-surface that engages the first-housing. The wall further defines a plurality of apertures configured to receive the plurality of seal-hangers. The lip defines a base that engages the second-surface and a top that engages a leading-edge of the first-housing. The plurality of seal-hangers are configured to inhibit bunching or rolling of the wall when the first-housing is mated with the second-housing.
