    Abstract: A vehicle includes a vehicle body, a cowl and a first cowl attachment. The vehicle body defines an engine compartment and a passenger compartment that is located rearward of the engine compartment. The cowl includes a top wall extending in a vehicle lateral direction between the engine and passenger compartments. The top wall has a first end wall at a first end and a second end wall at a second end. The first end wall has a plurality of first air receiving apertures. The first cowl attachment has a baffle wall part and a cowl extension part. The first cowl attachment is fixedly attached to the first end wall such that the baffle wall part is adjacent to the air receiving apertures. The cowl extension part extends in a vehicle lateral direction from the baffle wall part.

    Abstract: Operating a host vehicle is described as including identifying remote vehicle information indicating at least a geospatial state for a remote vehicle and identifying host vehicle information indicating at least a geospatial state for the host vehicle. For a sequence of sampling points, a distance between the remote vehicle and the host vehicle within a transportation network is determined based on the remote vehicle information and the host vehicle information, an angle from a centerline extending from the host vehicle for the distance is calculated, the angle varying as a function of the distance, and a conically-shaped zone is determined using the angle. Responsive to the remote vehicle being located within the conically-shaped zone, the host vehicle is operated based on the remote vehicle being in a lane in which the host vehicle is traveling. The host vehicle is behind the remote vehicle in a direction of travel. A method, vehicle, and apparatus are described.

    Abstract: A fuel pump assembly includes an attachment section and a pump housing. The attachment section includes an upper telescoping section having an outer portion and a support rod that extends into the outer portion for telescoping movement with respect thereto. The support rod further extends downward from the outer portion. The pump housing is supported to a lower end of the support rod of the attachment section. The upper telescoping section of the support rod is configured such that the pump housing is movable between a first position and a second position, such that in the first position the pump housing is retained by the upper telescoping structure a first distance away from the attachment section and in the second position the pump housing is located a second distance away from the attachment section. The first distance is greater than the second distance.

    Abstract: A first sensor measures temperature at a first evaporator that cools a first zone. A second sensor measures temperature at a second evaporator that cools a second zone. A controller operates a compressor in a normal cooling mode or a single zone cooling mode. In the normal cooling mode, both the first zone and the second zone are cooled with the compressor operated by the controller in response to temperature measurements from one or both of the first sensor and the second sensor. In the single zone cooling mode, only the second zone is cooled with the compressor controlled by the controller in response to temperature measurements from the second sensor and the controller determining that the first evaporator has a low probability of accumulating frozen moisture on surfaces thereof, and in response to determining a high probability of accumulating frozen moisture on surfaces thereof the compressor is not operated.

    Abstract: A vehicle body structure includes an outer body panel and a reinforcement panel. The outer body panel at least partially defines a pillar portion that has a front edge that at least partially defines a door opening, and a rear edge that at least partially defines a rear window opening. The reinforcement panel is rigidly fixed to the outer body panel and includes an upper attachment section, a lower attachment section and a main section that extends between the upper attachment section and the lower attachment section. The upper attachment section is attached to the outer body panel. The lower attachment section extends downward from the main section to proximate a lower edge of the rear window opening. The main section includes a first contoured area defining a first seatbelt anchor support and a second area spaced apart from the first contoured area that defines a second seatbelt anchor support.
