    Abstract: A blower housing comprises first and second blower housing pieces for surrounding a blower fan. The first blower housing piece comprises a blower discharge section comprising an inner tubular portion, an outer tubular portion, and a drain hole. The inner tubular portion defines a blower discharge passage. The inner and outer tubular portions define an exhaust pipe cavity adapted to receive an end margin of an exhaust pipe. The tubular portions are adapted to enable condensate water that forms on the inner surface of the exhaust pipe to flow into the exhaust pipe cavity. The drain hole extends through the outer tubular portion. The drain hole is configured to enable condensate water flowing into the exhaust pipe cavity to drain from the blower housing. The first blower housing piece is a molded one-piece member.

    Abstract: A system for determining operating conditions of a rotating biological contactor includes a sensor including a first end coupleable to the gearbox assembly of the rotating biological contactor at a radial distance from a rotation axis of a rotatable shaft. The rotatable shaft rotates a plurality of media elements about the rotation axis to treat water within a basin of the rotating biological contactor. The sensor also includes a second end coupleable to a brace to prevent rotation of the sensor and the gearbox assembly when the rotatable shaft is rotated. The sensor further includes a body extending between the first end and the second end. The sensor is configured to detect a load on the body when the rotatable shaft is rotated. The system further includes a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor. The controller is configured to determine a torque of the rotatable shaft based on the load detected by the sensor.

The bobbin assembly includes a conductor coil comprising a radially inner end and a radially outer end. The bobbin assembly also includes a bobbin including a body portion having a first end and a second end, wherein the conductor coil is coupled about the body portion. The bobbin also includes a first flange coupled to the first end, a second flange coupled to the second end, and an extension tab formed on one of the first flange or the second flange. The extension tab extends radially beyond one of the radially inner end or radially outer end of the conductor coil.

    Abstract: An adaptor module and methods for controlling a replacement motor in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system are provided. The adaptor module includes a plurality of tap connectors, each configured to receive a control signal. The adaptor module also includes a user interface having a plurality of switches that are adjustable into a plurality of different configurations, wherein each of the plurality of configurations correlates to at least one stored operating parameter for application to the motor. The adaptor module also includes a processing device configured to determine an operating parameter at which to operate the motor based on the configuration of the plurality of switches and based on a determination of which tap connector is receiving the control signal. The adaptor module also transmits a command signal including instructions for the motor to operate in accordance with the determined operating parameter.

The motor controller also includes an inverter configured to control a supply of current to stator windings of a motor. The motor controller also includes a switch controller coupled to the switch circuit and configured to be coupled to a system controller.     Abstract: A motor controller for an electric motor for driving a blower to generate an airflow. The motor controller includes a processor and a drive circuit configured to regulate power supplied to the motor to turn the blower. The processor computes a system resistance for the blower based on a fixed set point for a first control parameter and a feedback parameter. The processor receives an airflow rate demand value and computes an operating set point for a second control parameter based on the system resistance and the airflow rate demand value. The processor controls the drive circuit based on the operating set point to supply electrical power to the electric motor and to operate the blower to generate the airflow.

    Abstract: A motor for use in a refrigerant atmosphere includes a rotor configured to rotate about an axis and a stator adjacent the rotor. The stator includes a core defining an end, and a plurality of teeth defining a plurality of slots. A plurality of coils are wrapped around the plurality of teeth such that each coil of the plurality of coils comprises a pair of slot portions extending at least partially through adjacent slots of the plurality of slots and an end turn extending between the slot portions and at least partially across the end. A shell encapsulates the end of the stator such that the end turns of said plurality of coils are substantially sealed from the refrigerant atmosphere.
