Abstract: A current-bootstrap comparator includes a receiving unit, a first current generation unit and a second current generation unit. The receiving unit receives a load voltage signal, a low threshold voltage and a high threshold voltage. The first current generation unit generates a first current. The second current generation unit generates a second current having a magnitude substantially same as a magnitude of the first current and a direction reverse to the first current. The first current and the second current are supplied to a next-stage circuit as a source current and a corresponding sink current, respectively, when the level of the load voltage signal is higher than the high threshold voltage or lower than the low threshold voltage. The magnitudes of the first current and the second current substantially equal zero when the level of the load voltage signal is between the high threshold voltage and the low threshold voltage.

Abstract: A driving device is provided. The driving device includes a first code mapping circuit, a first source driving channel, a second code mapping circuit and a second source driving channel. The first code mapping circuit converts a first input code in input data into a first intermediate code according to a first code-to-code mapping relation. The first source driving channel converts the first intermediate code into a first analog voltage according to a first code-to-voltage mapping relation. The second code mapping circuit converts a second input code in the input data into a second intennediate code according to a second code-to-code mapping relation which is different from the first code-to-code mapping relation. The second source driving channel converts the second intermediate code into a second analog voltage according to a second code-to-voltage mapping relation which is different from the first code-to-voltage mapping relation.

Abstract: An amplifier circuit with an overshoot suppress scheme is provided. The amplifier circuit includes an input amplifier, an output amplifier and a diode device. The output amplifier is coupled to the input amplifier and outputs an output voltage. The diode device is coupled between an output end and an input end of the output amplifier. When a voltage difference between the output end and the input end of the output amplifier is greater than a barrier voltage of the diode device, the diode device is turned on, and an overshoot of the output voltage is reduced.

Abstract: A method for image noise estimation includes: determining a plurality of current sample blocks of a current image frame and a plurality of pervious sample blocks of a pervious image frame; calculating a block feature of each of the current sample blocks, and calculating a block sum-of-absolute-difference (SAD) between each of the current sample blocks and corresponding one of the pervious sample blocks; clustering the current sample blocks into a plurality of segments according to the block features; respectively establishing a plurality of noise models for the segments according to the block features and the block SAD; and calculating noise level information of a local image block of the current image frame according to a corresponding noise model of the noise models. A device for image noise estimation and an image capture apparatus are also provided.

Abstract: A voltage regulator and method applied thereto are provided. The voltage regulator generates a regulated voltage in response to a reference voltage and a control code. The voltage regulator includes a voltage divider circuit, an amplifier circuit, and a power MOS array. The voltage divider circuit is configured to divide the regulated voltage to generate a feedback voltage. The amplifier circuit is configured to amplify a voltage difference between the reference voltage and the feedback voltage to generate a bias voltage. The power MOS array includes multiple transistors. Each transistor has a first terminal coupled to a power rail, a second terminal coupled to the regulated voltage, and a control terminal selectively coupled to either the power rail or the bias voltage in response to the control code.

Abstract: A method is provided for reconstructing a high dynamic range (HDR) video from a low dynamic range (LDR) video. The LDR video is captured with dynamic exposure values by a regular camera device to store as an LDR video file. An exposure setting sequence and an LDR video frame sequence are retrieved from the LDR video file, where the exposure setting sequence corresponds to the LDR video frame sequence. The LDR video frame sequence is aligned to generate a compensated frame sequence to merge with the LDR video frame sequence, so as to generate an HDR frame sequence and reconstruct the HDR video.

The display apparatus includes a display panel, a timing controller and a source driver. The timing controller is configured to receive an external image signal to provide a compressed image signal. The source driver is configured to receive the compressed image signal, and has a decompressor configured to convert the compressed image signal into restored image data and provide a plurality of source driving signals to drive the display panel according to a plurality of display data of the restored image data.
