摘要: A main pipe of a motorcycle is enhanced in stiffness to stably support an engine. The main pipe includes an intermediate pipe extending above the engine in a longitudinal and substantially horizontal direction, a front pipe extending forwardly downwardly of the engine from a front end of the intermediate pipe, and a rear pipe extending rearwardly downwardly of the engine from a rear end of the intermediate pipe. The rear pipe is curved arcuately in a manner to go around a pivot shaft forwardly downward from a rear side thereof and the engine is connected to a lower end side of the rear pipe.

摘要: A valve train device for an engine is adapted to pivot a rocker arm supported on a rocker arm support shaft to drive a valve which opens and closes a valve opening formed in a combustion chamber. The device comprises a valve drive device and a swing member pivotally supported on a swing member support shaft and driven to pivot about the swing member support shaft by the valve drive device. An intermediate rocker member is pivotally supported on the rocker arm support shaft. The intermediate rocker member is provided between a swing cam surface formed on the swing member and a rocker face formed on the rocker arm, for transmitting the movement of the swing cam surface generated by the valve drive device to the rocker face. An intermediate rocker moving mechanism is configured to rotate the rocker arm support shaft and thereby move a first contact point between the intermediate rocker member and the swing cam surface and a second contact point between the intermediate rocker member and the rocker face to continuously vary at least one of the valve opening duration and the amount of valve lift.

摘要: A device for removing runners from intermediate molded products includes a holding assembly for maintaining the products in a desired position, a hammer member, an assembly for vibrating the hammer member to cause repeated striking of the intermediate product so as to separate runner and product portions thereof and a control arrangement for selectively activating and deactivating the vibrating assembly. The control arrangement provides for positioning the vibrating assembly in at least one predetermined position upon deactivation thereof so as to enable the vibrating assembly to be readily restarted. The holding assembly can incorporate a robot arm for transporting and positioning the intermediate molded product for runner removal. In order to protect the robot arm from the effects of vibrational forces, the intermediate molded product is adapted to be resiliently attached to the robot arm.

摘要: A vehicle and drive unit therefor including a transversely disposed engine located in an engine compartment. The cylinders are inclined to the rear from a vertical plane at an acute angle and the engine crankshaft drives an accessory shaft that rotates in a plane disposed at an acute angle to the vertical and forwardly of the cylinder axis and at an acute angle to the cylinder axis. Accessories are driven from this accessory shaft as are the front wheel axles which lie on the opposite side of the plane containing the cylinder axis from the output shaft axis. The accessory drive is disposed inwardly of the ends of the engine so as to provide a compact body and the engine body is recessed to receive the accessory drive so as to minimize the distance between the accessory shaft and the engine crankshaft.
