Abstract:
A system including a data network for providing Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) data to wireless terminals from a selection of content servers connected to the data network through a plurality of WAP gateways connected to the data network includes a content converter accessible as a centralized network resource. Characteristics of each wireless terminal and preferences of the user of each wireless terminal are uploaded to the central content converter and stored there. Content provided by a content server is routed through the data network to the central converter for adjustment according to the stored characteristics and preferences, and further routed through the data network to a particular wireless terminal.
Abstract:
Digital ink is captured using either a digitizer attached to the serial port of the computer or by a tablet computer having a stylus during the detection, capture, storage and association of ink with particular types of information. An ink log stores handwritten notes that are generated during a phone call. Whenever a call is made or received via a regular telephone or an IP Softphone, the number being dialed or that the call is being received from is used in a search to locate a file associated with this number within an ink log. If a file associated with the called or dialed number exists, then the file is retrieved and all prior ink notes associated with this number, including their time stamps, are displayed in a window that is opened. If a file corresponding to the called or dialed number is not present in the ink log, then a new file is created along with an associated blank window, whereby the user can begin “inking” into this file. Alternatively, a user may highlight a phone number and view the InkLog for the particular number. Upon a user selecting a View Ink Log category, the ink log is accessed and all notes, drawings, etc. that a user generated in all previous calls that where either made to the number or calls received from this number are displayed.
Abstract:
An ignition coil of a dual ignition type that can prevent outputs from becoming unbalanced due to a difference in floating capacitance on wiring that connects secondary output terminals and ignition plugs together, thus realizing balanced outputs. A coil assembly housed in a housing as a coil case has a primary coil and secondary coils disposed concentrically with the primary coil. The secondary coils are comprised of two coils wound in opposite directions with the center of winding width being a boundary. The center of the winding width of the primary coil is shifted from the center of the winding width of the secondary coils by a predetermined width so as to balance outputs from the two secondary coils. A casting material is filled into a gap between the housing and the coil assembly and gaps which the coil assembly has.
Abstract:
A toy with an exterior structure. Constructed to transform from a rollable first shape to a second shape. An interior structure inside the exterior structure is endowed with a magnetic body that moves by way of a magnetic force that acts from the exterior of the toy, an interior locking portion that moves simultaneously with the movement of this magnetic body, and a biasing member that effects a force which moves or turns this interior locking portion in a particular direction. If the magnetic force does not act from the exterior of the toy, the first shape of the exterior structure maintained. In the event that a magnetic force has acted from the exterior of the said toy, the exterior structure transforms from the first shape to the second shape.
Abstract:
An electrical connection structure allowing reduction in height and easy disassembly, wherein a first connecting member comprises a flexible substrate comprising a flexible insulating film, at least one conductive pad formed on at least one side thereof, a conductive circuit pattern extending from the rim of the pad, a through-hole formed through the thickness thereof at a planar position within the pad, and a small aperture formed at a planar position within the pad and communicating with the through-hole, and a second connecting member comprises a conductive projection formed at least one side thereof and electrically connected with a conductive circuit pattern formed inside or on the second connecting member, where the electrical connection is formed in the manner such that the conductive projection of the second connecting member is inserted in the through-hole of the first connecting member, through the small aperture in the pad, bending the pad and the portion of the insulating film under the pad, along the direction of insertion of the conductive projection, so that the pad is pressed onto the conductive projection due to elastic force of the pad and the insulating film bent.
Abstract:
A tire tread comprising a rolling surface and at least one wear indicator formed by at least one cavity which opens onto the rolling surface, wherein the geometrical shape of the trace of the cavity on the rolling surface changes as a function of the wear level of the tread and wherein the geometrical shape of said trace is an analogical expression of the tread's wear level.
Abstract:
A nonvolatile memory stores the contents ID of a downloaded content in association with the identification information of a removable UIM card. When downloading of contents data is requested, the CPU determines whether or not contents data which is identical to the requested contents data is already stored in a cellular phone. If the contents data which is identical to the requested contents data is not stored in the cellular phone, the CPU downloads the contents data. If stored, the CPU does not download the contents data, but determines whether or not identification information associated with the contents data matches with the identification information of the currently loaded UIM card. If the identification information does not match, the CPU updates the association of the contents ID and the identification information.
Abstract:
An operability in performing an image correction process on a picked-up image of an object shot at approximately the same shooting angle is improved and a process time is shortened. A CPU in a cellular phone extracts the contour of the object from one of a plurality of picked-up images sequentially picked up in a sequential image pickup mode, and calculates correction data to be used in image correction based on the extracted contour. Thereafter, the CPU performs an image correction process on the plurality of picked-up images picked up sequentially to correct the distortion of the image of the object included in each picked-up image, using the calculated correction data.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for repairing a tubeless mounted assembly for a cycle, more particularly for a bicycle, comprising a rim and a tire.According to the invention, the repair device comprises an inner tube, the internal diameter D of which inner tube is greater than the diameter of the rim seats.
Abstract:
A control unit obtains a current position of a mobile phone by using a GPS receiver during the operation of the navigation function, while detecting a style of a device body based on detection of an opening/closing sensor. The control unit determines whether to perform route guidance or to perform direction guidance based on the detected style of the mobile phone. When the mobile phone is in “open style”, the control unit displays a detailed navigation screen including route indicating map images on a main display, while displaying a simple direction guidance on a sub display when the mobile phone is in “closed style”.
